All Chapters of I Refused my Alpha : Chapter 1 - Chapter 10

The cold night air clawed at Lyra’s skin as she ran blindly through the forest. Branches scratched her arms, stones cut into the soles of her worn boots, and tears blurred her vision. She didn’t stop. She couldn’t. The words echoed endlessly in her mind. “I reject whatever foolish trick the Moon Goddess is trying to play.” Every heartbeat felt like another crack spreading through her chest. She had never believed in fairy tales. She knew exactly who she was—a poor human servant who scrubbed floors, washed dishes, and slept in a tiny room behind the servants’ quarters. So why did his rejection hurt so much? She stumbled to a stop beside a small stream, collapsing onto her knees. Her reflection shimmered in the moonlit water. Messy chestnut hair. Tear-streaked cheeks. A simple gray dress stained with mud. Nothing about her looked worthy of an Alpha. A bitter laugh escaped her lips. “What was I expecting?” she whispered to herself. “That an Alpha King would choose a servan

The silver dagger rested against Lyra’s throat. One small movement. One slip. And her life would end. The forest fell deathly silent. Every Blackwood warrior held their breath. The rogue leader smiled, his crimson eyes fixed on Alpha Karl. “Well?” he taunted. “Answer me.” “If she means nothing to you…” “Why are you here?” Karl’s massive black wolf stood as still as a statue. His silver eyes burned with murderous intent, but his expression revealed nothing. After a long moment, he shifted back into his human form. His black clothes were torn from the transformation, exposing the powerful muscles of his chest and arms. Moonlight illuminated the scar that ran across his shoulder a mark earned during his first battle as Alpha. He stared directly at the rogue. “I came because you crossed my territory.” His voice was cold. Emotionless. “You attacked my pack.” The rogue chuckled. “So it has nothing to do with the girl?” “Nothing.” Lyra felt as though the little strength

The silver light pulsed beneath Lyra’s wrist. Once. Twice. Then it spread across her skin like glowing veins before disappearing beneath the sleeve of her torn dress. Silence settled over the forest. The mysterious stranger’s golden eyes remained fixed on her wrist. His usually calm expression was replaced with unmistakable shock. “No…” he whispered. “This shouldn’t be possible.” Lyra quickly pulled her sleeve down. “What are you talking about?” The stranger didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he stood and walked a few steps away, running a hand through his dark hair. “The Royal Moon Mark…” He had spent years searching for it. According to ancient legends, the mark belonged only to the true heir chosen by the Moon Goddess herself. Its owner would one day unite the fractured kingdoms… or plunge them into war. And now… It had appeared on a young woman who believed she was nothing more than a human servant. The stranger took a slow breath before turning back to her. “Y

The cold morning breeze swept through the forest as Arnold and Lyra walked side by side. Golden rays of sunlight filtered through the towering trees, painting the ground in patches of light. Neither of them spoke. Lyra’s body still ached from the previous night’s attack, but somehow, she felt safer than she had in years. Arnold walked a few steps ahead, occasionally glancing around, as though expecting danger. “You don’t have to keep looking over your shoulder,” Lyra said softly. “I’ve already brought you enough trouble.” Arnold smiled without turning around. “I’ve faced worse.” She raised an eyebrow. “Worse than a pack of bloodthirsty rogues?” He chuckled. “You’d be surprised.” For the first time since leaving Blackwood Pack, Lyra laughed. It was quiet. Gentle. But genuine. Arnold looked back for a brief second. “She looks so much prettier when she smiles.” Far behind them… Karl Blackwood silently followed their trail. He stayed hidden among t

The valley below shimmered beneath the golden light of the setting sun. Lyra stood at the edge of the cliff, unable to tear her eyes away. The hidden town looked like something from a dream. Stone cottages with silver rooftops lined winding cobblestone streets. Crystal-clear streams flowed through blooming gardens, while children laughed as they chased glowing butterflies that danced in the evening air. It was peaceful. Too peaceful. She looked at Arnold. “I’ve never seen a place like this.” Arnold smiled. “Very few people have.” “What’s it called?” He hesitated. “For now…” “You can call it Moonhaven.” Lyra nodded slowly. Moonhaven. The name itself sounded comforting. For the first time in days, she felt her tense shoulders relax. “Come.” Arnold gestured toward a narrow path leading down the mountain. “We’ll be there before nightfall.” Far behind them… The hooded man watched through his spyglass until they disappeared into the valley. A cruel smile spread across
