Shawn Jacobson didn't realize I was missing until three hours later.The message he sent me was cold and distant. "Where did you run off to? Nadia's panicked voice came from the other end. She sounded like she was about to cry."Mom suddenly twisted her ankle. She can't move at all right now," Nadia said. "I called an ambulance. "Janet went abroad for further training?" Shawn couldn't believe what he was hearing, and his expression stiffened.Carla nodded. "Yes, she suggested it to Dr. Colton herself."She continued, "It makes sense, though. At our hospital, she could only ever be a nurse, and she wouldn't have much room to grow. After training overseas, things will be different."After saying that, Carla turned and walked toward the ward.Shawn stood there stunned, his ears ringing.Charles had suggested it to Janet many times before, but she had always refused without hesitation.
