Elder Marcus stared at Kellan across the room. “Enough,” he said. “You told Rhett that Cassia ordered you to plant those herbs. Now you say you lied. So tell us the truth. Who actually instructed you?” Kellan’s throat tightened. He looked at Cassia. She stood quietly beside the Elders, her face calm.
