Semua Bab My Comatose Wife Accompanied Someone Else For A Checkup: Bab 1 - Bab 9

I stood nearby with my hands balled into fists. I was trembling uncontrollably. My phone rang. I had waited for this phone call for seven years. However, when I saw Gwen Anderson’s name on my phone screen, I started to tear up. I slowly pressed the answer button. Immediately, I heard Gwen’s sobs. “Zac, I’m awake! Where are you? I can’t find you anywhere…“Zac, are you out working?“I’ll wait for you at home. Be careful on the way back.” I grimaced and agreed. However, my gaze was fixed on Gwen, who was sitting nearby with a smile on her face. I saw her expression turn into disbelief when I hung up on her. She stared at her phone in confusion. Then, as though she had recalled something, she frowned and tapped on her phone screen. The next second, my work phone rang. “Didn’t we agree on 9 a.m.? Why aren’t you here yet?” I slowly walked toward Gwen. “I’m here.” Gwen looked up at me in shock. Her eyes widened in terror. She glanced at me and then looked at her

Gwen did not even react. Instead, she said to me, “Zac, stop throwing a tantrum. “Your parents are both dead. Aside from me, you don’t have any family left.“Besides, your company went bankrupt a long time ago. You’re extremely poor with a lot of debt. “Your hand’s permanently injured. You can’t do anything.“Don’t you realize? If you leave me, you’re nothing.“So, don’t get worked up just because I’m patient toward you, alright?”I felt her words piercing through my heart. My heart ached. Both of my parents were dead. Twenty years ago, my parents had tried to save Gwen, who was drowning. Gwen survived, but they did not. Their company went bankrupt, and it racked up a huge debt. Seven years ago, after Gwen fell into a coma, I took over the debt. To repay her debt and to keep her alive, my company, which I had spent many years building, went bankrupt. My hand was also permanently injured. Seven years ago, I ignored everyone’s warning and ran into the fire to save

The woman chuckled. She called me in front of everyone. “I’m here to take my husband, Zac, back home.”“How’s Zac your husband? What’re you talking about? He’s my…”Gwen suddenly seemed to realize something and stopped. She looked frantic. Luna Anderson gestured, and a dozen bodyguards started looking around the mansion for me. “He’s here!” I was led out of the kitchen. My pale frame emerged before the crowd. “Isn’t that the idiot who took care of his comatose wife for seven years without giving up?”“That’s right, why is he here?”“None of us know who his wife is. Does she have anything to do with Gwen?”I grimaced and stared coldly at Gwen. Gwen could not help but tremble. Her heart pounded against her chest. Luna walked forward and helped me up. She looked extremely upset to see me hurt. “I’m taking you home.” When we walked past Gwen, she suddenly grabbed me and said frantically, “Zac, where are you going?“This is your home! You can’t leave!”Immediately

I grimaced and hung up on her without any hesitation. I looked at the photo of us that I had hung in the living room. It was the only photo I had of us.It was obviously photoshopped. Gwen was frowning in the photo, and she looked angry. I was smiling ear-to-ear beside her. I took down the photo. Then, I casually tossed it in the trash. I walked to my bed and took out a locked metal case from underneath it. I unlocked it and took out the things that were inside. I had stored the little gifts Gwen had given me ever since we met. There were the love letters she had written to me, as well as my diary that I had kept for the past seven years. I threw all of them into the trash. Finally, I took off the bracelet on my hand and placed it on the table. Just as I was about to leave, someone barged in.Gwen appeared before me. She was panting. She looked like a mess. She walked toward me with teary eyes and grabbed my hand. She sounded a little desperate. “Zac, please let m

Both families were pleased with our relationship, and they immediately threw an engagement party for us. Since then, we lived a happy and fulfilling life like any other couple in love. It was not until the summer that Gwen suggested all of us have a beach holiday. The weather was unexpectedly bad, but she insisted on swimming in the ocean. I saw her swimming further into the distance, and I kept screaming because I knew she could not swim. The wind got stronger, and the tides grew higher. Then, I heard Gwen’s cries for help. Before I realized it, my father rushed forward. It had happened all too quickly. Within a few minutes, I saw my father stranded in the waves. Then, I saw my mother rushing over. When I took out my phone to call for help, my mother was holding my father’s hand. I saw both of them pulling Gwen toward the shore. When I saw the three of them getting closer, I felt relieved. Suddenly, there was a huge wave. I saw my parents suddenly push Gwen
