Aria's ...I returned to the mansion just before sunset, physically exhausted but strangely happy. For the first time in over two months, I had spent an entire day outside those suffocating walls. I had walked through crowded streets, bought things I actually needed, laughed with the head maid, and for a few precious hours, I almost forgot I was Lucian Devereux's prisoner.Even meeting Ethan couldn't completely ruin my day.His words still lingered in my mind."Your father knows the truth.""He's the only one who can stop what Lucian is doing to you."I wanted answers. But I refused to let Ethan steal the only peaceful day I had experienced in months.Lucian never returned for dinner. His chair remained empty, and somehow the mansion felt less frightening without him. That night, I slept peacefully. The following morning was unusually quiet.Breakfast.Gardening.Lunch.Still no sign of Lucian.By four in the afternoon, a knock sounded on my bedroom door."Come in."The door opened, a

Aria...My hands trembled as I unfolded the note. The handwriting alone was enough to make my heart stop. I recognized it instantly. It was my father's. My eyes filled with tears before I even read the first word. Taking a shaky breath, I began reading. My Sweetheart,If you're reading this, then you woke up safely. I don't know if you'll ever forgive me, and the truth is... I don't expect you to. Every father dreams of having a daughter like you—kind, compassionate, selfless, and willing to sacrifice everything for the people she loves. You gave up your freedom, your future, and your happiness to save my company. No father should ever ask his daughter to make such a sacrifice, yet I did. I failed you, not as a businessman, but as your father.I know you must hate me, and perhaps I deserve every bit of that hatred. If I could turn back time, I would rather lose every penny, every building, and every company than lose your smile. But it's too late now. I cannot save you. Lucian Devereu

Lucian.....I stopped speaking to Aria. Not because I was embarrassed about what happened at the gala. Not because she had caught me with Isabella. And certainly not because I felt guilty.Guilt was an emotion I had buried a long time ago, along with every piece of the man I used to be. Aria probably believed my silence meant something had changed. Perhaps she thought I regretted humiliating her. Perhaps she imagined that seeing the look on her face that night had awakened some humanity inside me.She couldn't have been more wrong.Silence was simply another weapon.Sometimes it was sharper than words.I stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows of my office, dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit. The city stretched endlessly beneath me, filled with people chasing ordinary lives while I stood above them planning the destruction of another man's world. I slowly swirled the whiskey inside my crystal glass, watching the amber liquid catch the morning sunlight.Victor Romano.Ju

Lucian...The Business trips never interested me. Every luxury hotel looked the same—cold marble floors, expensive furniture, and breathtaking views that meant absolutely nothing to me. I had checked into one of the finest presidential suites in the city after concluding a meeting with foreign investors. A woman sent by one of my business partners kept me company, talking about fashion, parties, and people I couldn't care less about. I listened with half an ear, my attention fixed elsewhere. My phone rested on the edge of the table beside me, and the moment it vibrated, I picked it up without hesitation. A familiar notification appeared on the screen. Target Device Activity Detected. A slow smile spread across my face. Since the day Aria became my wife, every call, every message, every new contact, and every video call from her phone had been silently reported to me. It wasn't because I cared about her. It was because I needed to know every move she made. Every notification was anothe

Lucian's POVThe city lights stretched beneath the floor-to-ceiling windows of my hotel suite like scattered diamonds. It was supposed to be a business trip, and officially, that's exactly what it was. Meetings with investors filled my mornings, contracts occupied my afternoons, and lavish dinners with international clients completed the evenings. But business was only half the reason I was here.Distance was useful. While everyone believed I was thousands of miles away focusing on expanding the Devereux empire, the real work was happening back home.My plan.I poured myself another glass of whiskey and walked toward the balcony. A cool breeze brushed against my face as I stared into the night. My phone vibrated on the glass table beside me.Another report.Aria and Alessandro had spent the entire day together again. The report included photographs from the estate's security cameras. They were covered in clay, laughing over poorly shaped flower pots. Later, they had dinner beneath the
