Emily’s POVThe filthy, deliberate title hung in the dim blue air like smoke, suffocating whatever tiny sliver of Daniel’s restraint was left. His hand tangled so tight in my hair that my head tilted back, forcing me to stare up into his storm-gray eyes. They were completely black now, the irises swallowed by a dark, terrifying hunger. His chest heaved against his unbuttoned shirt, his breathing ragged and broken."Don't call me that," he growled, his voice a ruined, low rasp that vibrated all the way down to my toes."Why?" I purred, stroking my thumb up the thick vein running along the underside of his shaft, collecting another bead of pre-cum on my skin. "Does it turn you on, Daniel? Knowing that I'm kneeling naked at your feet while your suit is still on?""You're fucking sadistic," he choked out, his knuckles white where he gripped my hair."Answer the question.""Yes," he admitted, the word torn from his throat like a confession under torture. "Yes, God help me, it turns me on."

Emily’s POVThe rest of the afternoon blurred together in a haze of mind-numbing corporate gossip and high-society drama.Victoria sat in the main living room, sipping chamomile tea, pacing the length of the silk rug while detailing every single insult she’d endured from European art brokers."And then Herr Weber had the nerve to suggest that I take a fifteen percent cut on the Munich gallery acquisition!" Victoria announced, throwing her hands up in dramatic outrage. "Can you believe the sheer audacity, Daniel?"Daniel sat gracefully on the opposite leather armchair, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees, looking like the picture-perfect, attentive husband."Unbelievable," Daniel murmured smoothly, nodding in complete agreement. "Weber always did overestimate his leverage in the Bavarian market, sweetheart. You were right to walk away."Sweetheart.The word hit my ears like a splash of ice water. I sat at the far end of the marble dining table with my laptop open, pretending t

Emily’s POVThe glass-and-steel tower of Walker Capital towered over the financial district like a monument to cold, unyielding power.By 12:55 PM, I was standing in the marble lobby, my heart hammering against my ribs as the high-speed elevator launched me toward the seventy-second floor. I had spent the entire morning trying to focus on my university lectures, but my mind was completely consumed by the lingering ghost of Daniel’s hands on my hips, the scent of his skin, and the terrifying promise he had whispered into my mouth before slipping into the dark.“Be there at one o'clock. Don't be late.”The elevator chimed, opening directly into the quiet, soundproofed executive suite.Daniel’s head administrator, a impeccably dressed woman named Evelyn, looked up from her desk with a polished smile. "Miss Emily. Mr. Walker is expecting you in his main office. You may go right in.""Thanks, Evelyn," I murmured, clutching my handbag strap so tightly my knuckles turned white.I walked towa

Emily’s POVThe heavy oak doors of Daniel’s office clicked shut behind me, instantly cutting off the suffocating tension inside.I stood in the quiet executive corridor, leaning my back against the wall as my knees shook violently. My chest was heaving, my core was still throbbing from where Daniel had claimed me on his desk ten minutes ago, and my hands were trembling around the ten thousand dollars in cash stuffed into my handbag."Emily?" Ethan’s voice called through the phone speaker. "Hey, are you still there?"I took a deep, steadying breath, forcing a bright, sweet tone back into my voice. "Yeah! Sorry, Ethan. The elevator doors were closing. What did you say?""I was saying, Lila and Sophia are actually down in the parking garage right now," Ethan said, sounding excited. "We’re all going to that new VIP cinema downtown to catch the two o'clock screening. Do you want us to wait for you in the lobby?""Yes! Please," I said, hitting the call button for the high-speed elevator. "I

Emily’s POV"Say it," Daniel rasped, his hand tightening around my waist, pinning me flat against his heavy chest. "Say my name, Emily."The backseat of the Maybach felt like a pressure cooker. I was sitting straight across his lap, my legs spread over his suit trousers, my heels hooked behind his calves. The scent of him—cedar, leather, and that dark, intoxicating heat—was filling my lungs, making my head spin."You're crazy," I panted, my fingers digging into the shoulders of his charcoal suit jacket. "You're completely out of your mind.""I am," he agreed smoothly, his storm-gray eyes pitch-black in the dim light of the tinted windows. "And I'm not asking you again. Who do you belong to?"I wanted to fight him. I wanted to dig my nails into his jaw, tear off his stupidly expensive tie, and scream at him that Victoria was sitting at the dinner table in the penthouse waiting for us. But every time his broad hand squeezed my hip, sending a bolt of white-hot lightning straight down to
