AmeliaThe moment I heard Charity’s panicked cry, I raced to find her. There’s no way Koden got through all the people here to get to her, but I’d know her terrified voice anywhere. I’ve gotten up enough nights when she was having a nightmare to know it well.As I rushed up to her, I looked around, trying to find the source of her fear. The scent of it is overwhelming as I pull her into my arms. When I see a group of Alphas blocking someone from view, I snarl.“Who is it?”“It’s him. It’s him. Please Amelia, don’t let him near me,” Charity cries.Kinsley walks over from where she was standing with the Alphas.“Koden is here?” I growl.“No, it's not Koden. It’s Alpha Daniel, who is apparently Charity’s mate,” she says, watching Charity.“Alpha Daniel, Alpha David’s brother?” I ask.“Yes. He just arrived and was getting introduced to us when he caught Charity’s scent,” she says.I know the other Alphas won’t let him try to claim Charity, but right now, she’s my priority.I turn, keeping

OliviaI’m a bit nervous about showing up at the competition officially as Olander’s mate. Only a few people know that I’ve accepted Ollie as my mate. Even my friend June and my son, Cameron, don’t know yet. Alexandra only knows because we’ll be returning to hers and Reese’s pack after this weekend. However, I know that Ollie will want everyone to know that I’ve accepted him.Rahl still hasn’t returned, but we’re both hoping that being outside and in the fresh air this weekend will help bring him forward.“The nervous energy pouring off you is palpable, Liv. Tell me what has you worried,” Ollie says from where he’s sitting beside me.We drove separately from Alpha Dante and Luna Eve since we’re returning to Reese’s pack, but this will also allow us to leave early if this weekend is too much for Ollie.Since he’s still recovering, I’m driving. Dante insisted that some of the warriors drive with us to make sure nothing happens. We don’t expect Koden to attack us, but he didn’t want to ta

OliviaAs soon as we arrive at the competition, I hear Cameron calling out to me as if he’s been waiting for me to arrive.“Mom!”When I turn, he comes jogging over and pulls me into a hug. “How are you? I heard you got Azure back.” He pulls back so he can look for her in my eyes. She pushes forward. “Hello, my son, I’ve missed you.”I watch as Jarek pushes forward and begins purring loudly.“Hello, mother. I’ve missed you so much.”He pulls me into a hug again, this time rubbing his face against mine.We let our wolves have their moment, then I pull Azure back.“Cameron, I want you to meet someone,” I say, gesturing at Olander where he’s waiting patiently for us to have our moment.“I already know Dr. Olander, mother. Hello, doctor, how are you? Thank you again for protecting my mother.”“You’re very welcome,” he says softly. His throat is still healing from where Alexander injured him.“Cameron,” I say, waiting until he focuses on me again. “I want to introduce you to my mate.”He st

CharityHe walks up to me slowly, as if he's not sure if he should approach me.“Alpha Daniel.”“Yes.”“I’m Charity. As you know, the Moon Goddess decided to make us mates. I’m sorry for the horrible joke that she’s played on you, but I need you to know that I will not now, or ever, accept you as my mate.”“Why? You don’t even know me,” he whispers.I look down, steeling myself to say what needs to be said to this stranger.“My father utilized me to create an alliance with Alpha Corey. Alpha Corey was already mated, but he had plans to murder his mate. She lives in these packs, by the way, Luna Eve, she’s Alpha Dante’s mate. You can verify my story.”When he doesn’t say anything, I continue.“He put his mark on me, knowing I couldn’t mark him because his pack didn’t know of his plan to murder their Luna. Then he proceeded to rut into me all night long. He barely gave my wolf, Amoret, time to heal me before he’d start pounding into me again. It was during our escape the next morning tha

AmeliaI felt my heart melt while I watched Calvin with our daughter. I don’t know if it’s because she’s older now or if it’s what he said, that he doesn’t like it that others understand her when he doesn’t. Whatever the reason, I watched my mate act like a father to our daughter for the first time since she was born. Not only that, but I watched Athena become captivated by his story and slowly move closer to him until she was tucked against him, watching the stars until she fell asleep.I know Calvin is a good man. He’s arrogant, stubborn, and frustrating, but he’s a good man who wants to do right by his pack, his daughter, and apparently me.I don’t know how I feel about that and I don’t know what it means any more than I did before he lost his memory. What I do know is if he continues to charm my daughter and me, I’m going to have a very hard time when he goes back to his pack. When Charity begins whimpering in her sleep, I reach out and put a hand on her shoulder, letting her know
