You know who I mean, right?” Chandra paused, mentally running through the name his wife so often referred to as “the witch.” When May finally came to mind, he gave a slow nod. “Don’t worry about her. He let out a harsh breath before dropping heavily into his executive chair. “Just wait, Alexa. Before heading home, she took the time to stop by the hospital to see her father. “Don’t move!” May and the man accompanying her instantly froze, startled by the shout coming from outside the room. Seeing the two of them caught off guard, Chandra immediately moved toward Alexa and lifted her into his arms. “Please take care of them, Officer. They kidnapped my wife.” The police officer nodded before swiftly apprehending May and the man she had hired. Chandra hurried out of the room with his wife cradled in his arms, carrying her bridal-style toward the taxi he had hired. “Sir, please take us to the nearest hotel!” Chandra pleaded with the taxi driver. The driver nodded and immediately set off in search of the closest hotel. Chandra sat in the back seat with Alexa, who still hadn’t regained consciousness. A few minutes into the drive, Alexa suddenly let out a soft whimper. 

Chandra’s phone suddenly rang loudly, pulling his attention away. He immediately stepped aside, knowing Alexa was still crying over what had happened to her, feeling as though her own husband had destroyed her.
