Saturday morning sunlight filtered through the thin curtains of my bedroom, warm and deceptively peaceful. I lay in bed for a long time, staring at the cracks in the ceiling, my body still humming with the memory of last night.Alessandro’s hands on my hips. The way he’d made me grind against him until I shattered. His voice in my ear calling me a good girl. The way I had moaned his name like I belonged to him.Guilt hit me like a wave. I pressed my face into the pillow, trying to smother the heat rising in my cheeks. What kind of person am I? I had a boyfriend who loved me. A little brother who looked up to me. A mother fighting for her life. And yet I’d let a dangerous stranger make me come in a private room at the club.I sat up, shaking my head hard. No. I wasn’t going to think about it. Last night was work. Nothing more. Triple pay. That was the only reason I did it. I brushed the memories aside like dirty laundry I didn’t want to deal with. I wouldn’t tell Sarah. I wouldn’t tell

I couldn’t take it anymore. After another sleepless night staring at the messages from Alessandro Rossi, I grabbed my phone with trembling fingers. Let’s see how far this goes, I thought bitterly. I typed quickly before I could lose my nerve.Kate: Why are you doing this? I want to talk. In person. His reply came almost instantly, as if he’d been waiting.A.R.: My office. 8 PM. I’ll send a car.No pleasantries. No questions. Just a command.I stood in front of my closet for nearly twenty minutes before choosing the elegant black gown Sarah had bought me months ago for a formal event we never attended. It hugged my curves tastefully, with a modest neckline and a slit up one leg. I wanted to look presentable. Strong. Like I wasn’t some fragile girl he could toy with. I pinned my hair up, added minimal makeup, and stared at my reflection“You’ve got this, Kate,” I whispered. “Thank him. Tell him to stop. Then walk away.”The car that arrived was sleek and black, with tinted windows. The

The club felt uneasy that night, like the air itself was warning me. I pushed through my performance, dancing on autopilot, my mind still tangled in memories of Alessandro’s office and Bella’s threats. When my set ended, I grabbed my tips and slipped out the back exit into the dimly lit parking lot. The cool night air hit my face, but it did little to calm my nerves.Three men were waiting near the cars. They didn’t look like regular patrons. Rough, tattooed, with hard eyes that scanned me like I was prey. One of them stepped forward, smirking.“Hey, sweetheart. Working late?”I tried to walk past them. “Not interested.”The tallest one grabbed my arm, yanking me back. “Come on, don’t be like that. A pretty thing like you dancing in there… you must be friendly.”His friends laughed. Rough hands pulled at my coat. I struggled, heart pounding. “Let me go! Help!”One of them covered my mouth. “Shut up. We just want a little fun.”Panic exploded through me. I bit down hard on the hand cov

The days after Alessandro’s visit to my apartment blurred into a tense routine. I threw myself into normalcy like it was a lifeline. Mornings were for Ben—breakfast, school drop-off, and helping with homework. Afternoons were for studying and visiting Mom at the hospital. Evenings were for the club, where I danced with forced determination, ignoring the feeling of being watched. But the gifts kept coming. On Tuesday, a delivery arrived at the apartment—new school supplies for Ben, top-of-the-line backpack, books, and shoes. The note simply said: For the little one. — A.R.On Wednesday, flowers showed up at the hospital for Mom with a card: Get well soon. The best care is already arranged. — A.R.By Thursday, I found a thick envelope slipped under our door. Inside were documents showing our rent had been paid for the next six months. No note this time. Just cold, undeniable proof that he was still there. Still watching. Still inserting himself into my life without permission.I sat on

The club lights felt hotter than usual that night. My body was still buzzing from the confrontation in Alessandro’s office, my jaw still tingling from his rough grip. I had danced my regular set on autopilot, trying to lose myself in the music, but I couldn’t shake him. He was always there—in my thoughts, in the shadows, in every expensive gift that kept arriving.Lena pulled me aside after my performance. “VIP room. Same client. Triple pay again. He requested you specifically.”I wanted to say no. I should have said no. But the money… it was becoming harder to turn down. I changed into a tiny black lace set and walked to the private room on shaky legsHe was waiting.Alessandro lounged on the leather couch like he owned the entire building, legs spread, one arm draped casually over the back. The dim red lighting cast shadows across his tattoos, making him look even more dangerous. His eyes darkened the moment I stepped inside.“Close the door,” he commanded softly.I did as he said,
