Lucien’s POV“LEAH!”I lunged forward trying to reach for her but my fingers caught nothing but the cold air. One moment, she was standing right there in front of me with her frightened eyes fixed on mine. And the next, her injured leg buckled and she fell backward over the edge and into the deep ocean. I watched the woman that I fell in love with disappear. The image kept on replaying in my head like it was bent on making sure that I never forgot the last few seconds for the rest of my life. “No!” I shouted as I rushed forward towards the cliff, my knees hit the ground and my palms scraped against it. I ignored the rough stones that were under me as I crawled to the edge and looked down, desperately searching for any sign of her. I was down on my knees, squinting my eyes as I tried so hard for tears not to fall, hoping that I would see any sign of movement. I silently prayed to the moon goddess to keep her safe, she had taken away my strength, she couldn’t take away my mate too.
