"Sis," Luis and Chris rushed after Sage. Canton was left in the private room, thinking about what went wrong. Outside the restaurant, Luis and Chris caught up with Sage. "Sis, what was that?" Luis asked, trying to understand what she was thinking. "What do you mean?" Sage inquired, even though she understood that he was expecting an explanation from her about the way she walked out on Canton. "Sis, Amanda is young. Alpha Canton is her only family. So she must have called him. Why take it so seriously?" Luis asked. Sage gave him a look. "Don't tell me that your mind is muddled and you lost all your sense of reasoning over a female," Sage muttered. Luis gave her a confused look. "She is 18, not that young not to understand the meaning of choosing a luna. Moreover, it's just a twisted ankle which would heal in a matter of minutes. You are an Alpha, so you might not even feel it before it heals. So I don't understand why she had to call him so many times even though her ankle

"He will be pissed," Sage muttered. Michael gave a confused look. "He didn't even speak with her yet. How can you say that he will be displeased?" Michael inquired. Sage stood up from the lounge chair she had been sitting on and looked at Michael through her peripheral vision. "Because I am not happy, obviously he won't be either," she replied confidently. Michael grabbed her hand when she was about to leave. Her eyes glazed over, and a vision appeared at the back of her mind. It was blurry. But she clearly saw Michael's face covered in blood while kneeling in front of someone who was lying lifelessly on the ground. Immediately, she pulled her hand back, her breathing heavy and strained. "Sage, there was a time when Kael used to like her. Don't ruin their relationship," he advised her. "Relationship? You are funny, brother Michael. Don't imagine non-existent things. If a man doesn't put the woman above everything and everyone, then he doesn't love her at all. Don't give he

"Dragon, you just said Mate. Who is your mate?" Sage is not fooled. Her eyes narrowed, and her body stiffened. She looked uneasy. Kael smiled indulgently. "Princess, even if i find my mate, I would still prefer you" he murmured softly, coaxing her. Sage tilted her head, as if trying to read him. His eyes hold nothing but honesty. "You sure can flirt, dragon" she mumbled before taking a big gulp of his dragon wine. "Easy" he tried to pull the glass away from her hand. The moment his hand touched hers, a vision appeared in her head. She saw Vanessa dressing elegantly in a beige dress while chatting with someone. It looked like she was in a party. She was seen sipping champagne. But suddenly the champagne glass slipped from her fingers are she started coughing up blood. The vision vanished as soon as it appeared. "Haaaa..." Sage sucked in a deep breath and let it out slowly. Her eyes are wide and she started sweating. "Where is aunt Vanessa?" she asked Kael. "She went out to

After Sage left, the Vice Chancellor's party was cut short. No one dared to eat or drink anything after the poison was confirmed. One after another, all the dragon elite left, feigning sudden work or an important call. The dragon council was left behind. Alexander, Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, and the four ministers were the only dragons seen in the otherwise empty hall. With just 7 of them, the hall now looks huge and empty. Vanessa was sent back home. "Gregory, you pride yourself on control. So how did someone manage to slip past your authority and control and poison the queen? How did such a huge blunder go overlooked?" Alexander thundered in anger. When a black dragon gets mad, every other dragon would shiver in fear. Now is no different. To think that Kael is stronger than Alexander would be an understatement. Kael is the strongest dragon ever born. Gregory looked red with embarrassment. "Your Highness, I don't know how this happened either. I will definitely give you a pro

The next morning, Sage had to stand under the cold shower to compose herself. If intimacy is anything like last night, then she is already addicted. "Damn that dragon. I am a witch, for crying out loud. I am not just the Lycan princess. He is making me go crazy. This sneaky dragon," she muttered to herself before she walked out of the shower and got dressed in a sleeveless spaghetti-strap red top with a 'V' neck and tight black distressed jeans. She left her waist-length reddish-brown hair to air-dry. By the time she went downstairs, she was not at all surprised to see Alpha Canton. But she was not expecting to find a timid-looking she-wolf wearing white beside him. 'She is Amber. Alpha Canton's sister,' she guessed. She got a call from her mother about Alpha Canton's visit. Her mother asked Sage to give the man a chance. Sage agreed, mainly because she didn't want to say 'No' to her mother. As for Alpha Canton, she is not planning to become his Luna. "Your Highness, good mor
