All Chapters of After Leaving Them, I Became the Chief Healer: Chapter 1 - Chapter 7

Before the healer trials, a witch I'd once saved gave me a precious prophecy crystal. I asked it to show me my future with Adam Smith.Adam was the one I'd chosen. The future Alpha heir."Will Adam and I end up as mates?" I asked, my voice sweet with hope. The crystal flickered. A vision appeared.Inside the Moon Temple, Adam stood in a crisp white suit, about to mark someone. I thought it was me, and a smile crept across my face—until the scene shifted. That smile froze solid. The woman Adam was marking was none other than my one and only sister, Sophia Taylor. Then the prophecy crystal warned me, sharp and clear."You'd better not give up the healer trials. Adam's only making you quit so he can keep you trapped in Silvermoon Pack. If you go to the Frost Pack and become a top-tier healer, Sophia will feel inferior to you, and he can't have that."I sat in the healer trial prep room, frozen to the bone.Prophecy crystals didn't lie. I knew that. But I shook my head, refusing to believe

I walked until I was far enough away, and the prophecy crystal in my pocket started talking again."If you hadn't discovered the truth today, you would have lost both your hands in a rogue war, trying to protect Adam. And then the whole pack would have turned on you. Everyone would call you a useless waste of pack resources, unworthy of standing beside an Alpha."I listened, trembling all over."Adam wouldn't even seal the bond with you. He was too scared of angering the pack and getting thrown out of his Alpha position.""Your sister, desperate for the Luna spot, would lure you to the cliffs and shove you off with her own hands. The bottom was full of thorns. You'd heal and get torn apart over and over until you bled out, screaming."My chest seized up, suffocating. If I'd really been stupid enough to throw the healer trials and stay in Silvermoon with them, I wouldn't just lose my chance at becoming a top healer. I'd end up crippled, dying in agony.Memories I'd deliberately ignored

He stepped out from the crowd, staring at me like he didn't recognize me."No... you're not Olivia, are you?"Sophia was right next to him, her eyes bulging, her face even more twisted than his. She looked at me with something close to fury."No... that's not possible..." Her voice turned shrill as she lunged forward, pointing at me with a shaking finger. "How could she possibly get first place?"She paused, like a thought just hit her, and her voice shot up an octave. "Did you cheat?!"The whole crowd went dead silent for a beat, then every single person turned to look at her with pure disgust.Sophia didn't even notice. She kept going. "She's my sister—I know her better than anyone. There's no way she could've—""Enough."Caleb cut her off flat.He stepped forward, looking down at her from the platform, and let his Alpha pressure slam down like a wall.Sophia's face drained of color. She staggered back half a step, and Adam caught her."The healer trials were monitored by the Alpha K

My first month at Frost Pack, I threw myself into everything. I was at the Healer's Hall almost every single day, desperate to adapt, to prove myself, to give back to the pack that had welcomed me with open arms.Caleb hadn't lied to me.Frost gave me the best of everything—the finest herbs, the most complete collection of medical texts, unrestricted research access. They even cleared out the best house near the Healer's Hall and gave it to me.Back in Silvermoon, my house had been destroyed by rogues, and Adam never gave me a replacement. He just moved me into his apartment. Back then, I was thrilled to be living with him.Now I understood how important it was to have your own space. Your own home.I treasured every opportunity I had. Every day, I soaked up knowledge like I was starving for it.Up before dawn, studying medical texts. Mornings with the elders in the Hall, treating the most difficult cases sent in from all over. Late nights in my room, filling notebooks with everything
