The witch's prophecy crystal showed me my future. My fated mate, Alpha Adam, would betray me before our bond was ever sealed. The one he chose instead? My own sister. And me? I gave up my healer trials for him. Became nothing. Lost every right to ever stand as this pack's Luna. In the end, my sister shoved me off a cliff with her own two hands. I didn't want to believe it, until I saw them at the border. Tangled. Kissing. Unmistakable. Then it all clicked. Adam made me quit the healer trials just to keep me trapped in this pack, where he could control me. And he used that pathetic excuse, "protecting the pack," "calming your sister's wolf," to screw around behind my back. The sister I spoiled rotten. The one who wanted what was mine. I took a breath, turned, and walked away. The healer trials came right on schedule. I walked into that hall, calm and ready— I was going to become the Chief Healer. And I was never, ever giving myself up for anyone again.

Chapter 1

Before the healer trials, a witch I'd once saved gave me a precious prophecy crystal. I asked it to show me my future with Adam Smith.

Adam was the one I'd chosen. The future Alpha heir.

"Will Adam and I end up as mates?" I asked, my voice sweet with hope.

The crystal flickered. A vision appeared.

Inside the Moon Temple, Adam stood in a crisp white suit, about to mark someone. I thought it was me, and a smile crept across my face—until the scene shifted.

That smile froze solid.

The woman Adam was marking was none other than my one and only sister, Sophia Taylor.

Then the prophecy crystal warned me, sharp and clear.

"You'd better not give up the healer trials. Adam's only making you quit so he can keep you trapped in Silvermoon Pack. If you go to the Frost Pack and become a top-tier healer, Sophia will feel inferior to you, and he can't have that."

I sat in the healer trial prep room, frozen to the bone.

Prophecy crystals didn't lie. I knew that.

But I shook my head, refusing to believe it. I told myself the vision was fake, and I raised my hand to smash the stone.

It scrambled, "If you don't trust me, go to the eastern border after the trials. See for yourself."

I was still hesitating when a guard came to summon me in.

I shoved the crystal into my pouch on autopilot and walked into the examination hall. The simulation trench was dark, packed with fake wounded—magic constructs made by witches.

The trial was urgent, but my head was full of that prophecy.

Adam. Five years we'd been together. He was Silvermoon's next Alpha. And just yesterday, his voice still echoed in my ears, dripping with affection.

"Olivia, if you do too well, they'll send you to the Frost Pack, and we'll be apart..."

"Olivia, I can't lose you. Can you throw the trials tomorrow, or at least hold back? That way, you, me, and your sister can all stay together in Silvermoon."

"Just stay with me, and I swear—I'll be good to no one but you, my whole life."

I was so moved I said yes without a second thought. For him, I walked away from the Frost Pack, from the chance to grow and become a top healer.

And now the prophecy crystal was telling me he did it so Sophia wouldn't feel insecure.

Sophia. My one and only sister. The one I'd always spoiled.

She was an Omega. The pack bullied her constantly. Adam always acted so sympathetic, saying he'd help me take care of her.

Was this what he meant by "taking care"?

A voice cut through my spiraling thoughts.

"Olivia Taylor, please enter the testing grounds."

I snapped back, heart pounding, and walked in with my mind in chaos.

If I failed this trial, I'd get exactly what he wanted. Stuck in Silvermoon.

My fists clenched. My whole body trembled.

But then I stopped.

If the crystal was wrong, I'd go to the Frost Pack, train for a while, and come back to him. A little distance, nothing more.

But what if it was right?

Was I really going to throw away my future as a top healer for some cheating bastard?

No.

I took a deep breath. My eyes burned, but my hands stopped shaking.

I gave it everything. Every skill, every drop of focus, no holding back.

Fifty wounded. Six full hours. I treated every single one flawlessly.

The guards and examiners watching from the sidelines couldn't stop nodding in approval.

When I finally walked out, wiping the sweat from my forehead, my phone buzzed with messages from both of them.

Adam: [Olivia, you're staying in Silvermoon, right? My dad called me in for something, so I can't pick you up today. Kiss! I'll bring you a gift when I'm home!]

Sophia: [Sis, I've got a terrible headache today. Don't worry about me, I'll head to the pack clinic myself. You and Adam enjoy your time together, don't mind me.]

They played their parts so well. If not for the prophecy, I'd have fallen for it again.

But the crystal's last words were screaming in my head now.

Go to the eastern border. See the truth.

My grip on the phone tightened. And my feet were already carrying me toward the border.

The wind hit me, carrying the familiar scents of Adam and Sophia. My heart slammed against my ribs.

With every step, their scent grew stronger. I could hear it now—a wolf's low, pleased howl, and the thick, unmistakable smell of heat.

My legs went weak beneath me. I still told myself it could be someone else with similar scents.

Until I reached that tree. And saw them. Tangled. Mating. Together.

My nails dug deep into the bark beside me. I couldn't move. Couldn't breathe. Couldn't accept what I was seeing.

My future mate. And my most beloved sister.

Right here. Betraying me.

The pain was crushing. But underneath it, one thing cut through.

I hadn't thrown my healer trials.

Three days. When the results came out, I was going to make both of them regret ever crossing me.
