ARIA Luna is wheeled out at exactly seven in the morning. She looks so small on the gurney, a cloth covering her hair, her hand still gripping her blue rabbit like someone is going to take it away from her. “Mummy, don’t let aunty Sonia eat my snacks while I am asleep,” she tells me seriously. Amid all that is happening, I manage to laugh so hard. “She always says she won’t, and then she does.” I am almost choking on the laugh. “I make no promises.
