~~~Zendaya~~~I have been cooped up in this hospital room all day. My body aches and my spirit feels heavy. The walls are starting to feel suffocating, the air stale. Every soft beep from the machines only reminds me how fragile I still am.Tired of lying down. Tired of staring at the same ceiling.I swing my legs off the bed carefully and stand. My steps are unsteady, but I force myself forward. Nadia isn’t here yet. Maybe a short walk will help clear my head.I move slowly down the hallway, lost in my own thoughts.That’s when I notice an elderly woman coming from the opposite direction. She’s distracted, speaking softly into an earpiece, her attention somewhere far away. On the floor ahead of her sits a small marble, completely unnoticed.If she isn’t careful, she’s going to step on it.She’s going to slip. She’s going to hit the ground hard. She could break something.Jesus.A sharp gasp leaves my lips.“Ma’am, watch out!”She doesn’t hear me. The earpiece must be too loud.Christ
~~~Ronan~~~It’s been four days since Zendaya went unconscious without opening her eyes once. I made sure the doctors did everything possible to bring her back. They eventually predicted she would wake up in four days, and today, they were right.Nathan has already given me every piece of information I needed. Her relationship with Nash was exactly as I suspected: a cold, loveless marriage that lasted three years. The man never loved her. He kept a mistress the entire time and still had the nerve to marry someone else while legally bound to her. He should be rotting in jail for what he did, but well, it’s not my place to punish him. The woman he destroyed will handle that herself.And as for the trailer that hit her and ran? He's probably serving his sentence in jail right now and should be executed in 3 days. Yes! There's nothing that I'm not capable of doing. The moment i set my mind on something, I make sure to do it. He can't just almost kill someone and run. After I'm dlone hand

~~~Zendaya~~~My head starts pounding almost immediately.It feels as if someone just dumped ice-cold water over me and then set my skin on fire at the same time. The words echo in my skull, loud and impossible to ignore.I want you to bear those grandchildren for me.The sheer audacity of this man.Heat floods my face so fast I can feel my ears burning. My mouth opens, but no sound comes out at first. I can only stare at him, completely stunned, pulse racing so hard it makes the monitors beside the bed feel unnecessary. My fingers dig into the blanket until the fabric wrinkles under my grip.Did he seriously just say that? Out loud? To my face?I force out a short, fake laugh and adjust myself on the bed, trying to sound light even though my pulse is still racing.“Oh, Mr. Wilder. You’re such a funny man. You joke too much.” I keep the smile on my face even as my insides twist. “I know you’ve saved my life more than once, and I’m truly grateful. I still have no idea how I’m going
~~~Zendaya~~~Cold seeps into my bones.“NO! Naddie. NO!”The words burst out of me louder than I intended. I sit up straighter despite the dull ache in my body, eyes wide.“That’s completely out of the option. Are you insane? I’m not going to use someone — or myself — just for revenge. Absolutely not.”Nadia doesn’t look the least bit discouraged. She only grins wider.“Why not? It’s perfect. You get protection, power, and the ultimate payback all in one. Nash would lose his mind.”“I said no.”“Come on, Zen. You’re single now. He’s interested. You’re clearly not as unaffected as you pretend—”“Nadia.”“Just think about it for a second—”“I’m serious. Drop it.”She keeps going, voice light but relentless, listing every “benefit” she can think of. The more she talks, the more exhausted I feel. Finally I throw my head back against the pillow and let out a frustrated breath.“Can we stop? I’m sick of this hospital. I just want to go home.”Nadia falls quiet for a moment, studying me. Th

~~~Zendaya~~~My eyes widen the moment the words leave Sylvia’s mouth.Future daughter-in-law?Heat rushes straight to my face. I open my mouth to correct her, but she’s already hurrying down the steps toward me with surprising energy, arms slightly open.“Come, come, dear!” she says brightly. “I’ve been waiting for you all morning.”Gracie follows behind her with a polite smile, while the maids bow their heads respectfully.“Good morning, Miss Zendaya.”I quickly gather myself and manage a small, awkward smile.“Good morning… and, um, Mrs. Sylvia, about what you just said—”She waves a hand dismissively, already linking her arm through mine as if we’ve known each other for years.“Nonsense, nonsense. We’ll talk inside. You must be tired from the journey. Come, let me show you around.”Before I can protest further, she gently steers me toward the entrance, still beaming like she’s the happiest woman in the world.She keeps her arm linked with mine as she leads me through the wide doub
