Liora Kane had not planned on losing her mind tonight. She had only planned to enjoy lively music and drown herself in drinks and just have a fun time with her friends. The club pulsed around her… deep bass vibrating through the soles of her heels, bodies moving in the low crimson light, the air was thick with perfume, sweat, and expensive liquor. Beside her, her two closest friends, Sofia and Nora, were already halfway to drunk and fully committed to the nightSofia, all dark curls and sharp red lips, leaned across the high-top table and shouted over the music, “Liora, stop looking like you’re calculating the exact number of calories in that cocktail and just drink the damn thing”Nora laughed, tossing her long blonde hair over one shoulder. “She’s been nursing that same drink for over ten minutes. At this rate we’ll still be sober when the sun comes up”Liora rolled her eyes, but she was smiling. The tequila was already warming her blood, loosening the tight coil of stress she fe

Rhys woke up to emptinessThe warmth that had been pressed along his chest and thighs all night was simply gone. His arm lay across cool leather instead of soft skin. He sat upright in one sharp motion, eyes scanning the small office. The bathroom door stood open. The floor held only his discarded clothes and the faint scent of sex and her perfumeLiora was gone.A low sound of frustration escaped him. He dragged both hands through his dark hair, pushing it back from his forehead hard enough that his scalp stung. For a moment he simply sat there, naked, jaw tight, staring at the place where her body had been. Then he swung his legs off the bed and stoodHe walked naked across the room and checked the bathroom anyway, already knowing that she wasn’t there.Rhys stepped into the shower and turned the water on cold. The spray hit his shoulders and ran down his chest in sharp streams. He braced both hands against the wall and closed his eyesHe couldn’t stop thinking about last night. Ab

Liora moved through the small studio of Boom Verce with the quiet confidence of someone who had done this a hundred times. The space smelled of citrus top notes and clean linen… the new summer line they were shooting today. Soft daylight filtered through the high windows, mixed with the controlled glow of two softboxes. A large white seamless backdrop stretched across the far wall. Two male models stood in front of it: Finn, the taller one with the sharp cheekbones, handsome looks and soft brown hair, sat on a low stool holding an ocean blue bottle of the perfume close to his slightly parted lips like it was something intimate. Behind him, Julian, the extremely fair and insanely cute looking model stood close, with one hand resting lightly on Finn’s shoulder, the other holding a pink bottleThey were meant to look like a couple sharing a quiet momentLiora checked the camera in her hands, then glanced at the monitor.“Lighting’s a little hot on the left” she said without raising he

Liora’s alarm went off at 6:10 a.m. She silenced it quickly and sat up. Today was the SkyCrown meeting. She pulled on leggings and a light running top, tied her blonde hair into a high ponytail, and stepped into the hallway at the same time as Sofia“You ready?” Sofia asked, still half-asleep but smiling.“Always.”They slipped out of the apartment and into the cool morning air. This was their ritual… three times a week. They fell into an easy pace along the quiet streets. Liora kept her breathing steady and tried not to let her thoughts race too far ahead…. Excitement will only make her tired before the days goal is completed When they returned, they walked the last stretch to cool down, then took turns in the shower. Sofia had already started breakfast by the time Liora came into the kitchen… scrambled eggs, toast, and coffee. They sat at the small counter. Liora picked at her food instead of eating itSofia watched her for a moment. “Calm down. You look very tense.”Liora let out

He broke the kiss only long enough to spin her around. In one very smooth movement her chest and cheek pressed against the cool mirrored wall of the elevator. His hard body followed instantly… sealing her against the wall. One hand slid up and closed around the front of her throat… firm enough to remind her exactly who was in control. While the other hand settled low on her stomachLiora made a small, protesting sound. He shushed her softly against her hair. Then she felt the slow, deliberate drag of his tongue from the curve of her shoulder blade all the way up the side of her neck. He reached her ear and took the lobe into his mouth, sucking gently, then biting down just enough to make her jolt. His tongue traced the shell of her ear while his hand on her stomach began to move. It slid lower, fingers spreading over the waistband of her trousers, before traveling back up again and cupping her breast through the thin cream blouse. He squeezed once, possessive and unhurried, his thum
