Semua Bab The Omega He Never Chose : The Cursed Alpha’s Surrogate: Bab 1 - Bab 10

“Help!” Elara screamed inwardly as she forced her legs to keep moving. Her breathing was ragged, her throat felt like it was on fire, and her stomach twisted with agonizing cramps. Barefoot and bleeding, she pushed through the thorny undergrowth, sharp branches scraping across her arms as she plunged deeper into the darkness of the forest. Several times, she stumbled over exposed roots and nearly fell, but the instinct to survive forced her back onto her feet every time.Water. I need to find a water source, her mind urged. She had to mask her scent if she wanted to escape the monsters hunting her.“Keep running, little Omega! You’ll never get far!” one of the rogues shouted, his voice echoing ominously between the trees. “Run until you’re exhausted, so we won’t have to work too hard when we take you!”Elara bit down hard on her lower lip until the salty taste of blood filled her mouth. Fear coiled tightly in her stomach, but disgust and fury overwhelmed it.This was all Jonathan’s fa

“She’s suffering from extreme exhaustion and severe starvation.”That was the final assessment from Maeve Rothwell, Gareth’s trusted female healer, after thoroughly examining Elara in the underground cell.“When will she wake up?” Gareth asked, his sharp gaze never leaving the girl lying before him.Her face was much cleaner now. Without the layers of mud and dried blood, Gareth could see just how fragile and pale she was. Dark circles shadowed the skin beneath her eyes, while her lips were cracked and drained of color.“I can’t say for certain, Alpha,” Maeve answered honestly. “She has quite a few cuts and abrasions. Her ankle is also badly swollen from what appears to be a sprain that was left untreated and then forced to bear weight.”The healer’s diagnosis only strengthened Gareth’s suspicion that the girl was indeed a victim.“Do everything you can to treat her injuries. When she wakes up, strap her to the interrogation post and notify me,” Gareth ordered coldly before turning to

Elara knew she might have completely lost her mind.Everyone in the surrounding clans knew—and firmly believed—that the Alpha of Silverhollow was cursed. His two official brides had died horrific deaths. So had the five breeders he had chosen over the years. Every single one of them had perished while carrying his child, fueling a terrifying rumor that the Alpha of Silverhollow’s unborn offspring carried a deadly seed of death, just like their father. Why did everyone believe such a thing?Because Gareth’s biological mother had died immediately after giving birth to him.And now, his offspring were believed to kill any woman who carried them before she could give birth.A rumor far more horrifying than death itself.“Do you even understand what you’re offering?” Gareth asked, his piercing gaze fixed on her.The girl’s offer to carry his child sounded more like an insult than a negotiation.“I do, my lord. I know exactly what I’m offering.”“Are you sure? You’ve never heard what happen

“If I tell you the truth… will you let me go?”Gareth gave no answer. He remained perfectly still, his gaze fixed on Elara’s face. What’s the point? Elara thought bitterly.Even if she told him the whole truth from her perspective, there was no guarantee the Alpha standing before her would believe a word of it. The label of fugitive that had already been stamped on her would not disappear simply because she offered a few words in her own defense.Elara drew a resigned breath.Perhaps all she could do now was wait for whatever punishment he decided to give her.Gareth remained silent, waiting for her to say more.He had expected the girl to plead, beg, or desperately try to convince him to believe her.Instead, Elara chose silence. For some reason, that only irritated the Alpha.Gareth wanted to hear her defense. The same girl who had begged him the night before, nearly on her knees,

“Victoria? What about her?” Gareth asked, his brows furrowing.“You know perfectly well why she’s here.”“She wants to become my Luna and take the place of her late sister? Yes, I know that. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to grant her wish.”“She loves you.”“Does she?” Gareth scoffed. “I thought she wanted to get revenge by killing me in my sleep as payback for killing her sister.”The sarcastic remark was clearly aimed at himself.Gareth knew Victoria adored him. But he had never been interested in her. No matter how hard she tried, he had never shown the slightest interest in her, and that rejection had become a personal humiliation for Victoria.Yet, for reasons Gareth couldn’t understand, the woman still remained in Silverhollow, convinced that someday she would win his heart and take her late sister’s place.Ten years ago, Gareth had married Aria Vale—Victoria’s half-sister—because he loved her.He had worshiped t
