Lahat ng Kabanata ng The Volleyball Captain Next Door: Kabanata 11 - Kabanata 20

Everett (Dandelions by Ruth B.)It's been four days, and I still find it hard to believe Amelia Hart actually lives here now.Like, she leaves here every morning, comes back here in the afternoon, eats here, argues with me and the boys here, and then goes to sleep just a door away from mine.Here.Every damn day.It still feels surreal. I can't help the smile tugging at my lips as I lace up my training shoes and head out of my room. It's exactly 5:39 a.m. when I stop in front of her door and knock. As usual, there's no response.I've come to realize that Amelia likes sleep. Scratch that, she loves sleep. So much that she practically detests anyone who dares disrupt it.Unfortunately for her, oversleeping is no longer a luxury she has access to.I knock a couple more times. Nothing."I'm coming in," I mutter. For some reason, she doesn't lock her door when she goes to bed. I assume it has something to do with her complete lack of responsiveness every morning.I push the door open and s

Amelia (Closer by The Chainsmokers, Halsey)The moment his lips crash against mine, my brain officially stops working.Like... completely.Nothing. Absolutely nothing at all. Instead, a strange warmth rushes through me, leaving me too stunned to even remember why I'm standing here in the first place. His hand is still so firm around my waist, keeping me against him, while my fingers instinctively curl into the front of his shirt. And the worst part? I'm not pulling away.Instead, I kiss him back, my lips moving against his as I slowly give in to the warmth of him. He seems to take that as permission, because his hold on me tightens, deepening the kiss until every sensible thought in my head disappears. My heart is jumping right out through my mouth. This is insane. This is insane! This relationship is supposed to be fake!I'm a fake girlfriend. Right? Fake relationship. Fake everything. So why does kissing Everett Griffin feel so ridiculously real... and so damn good?I melt further i

Amelia (Cinnamon Girl — Lana Del Rey)Oh my God. What is Rachel Lancaster doing here?!I'm grinning from ear to ear, my heart beating rapidly. I’m still yet to get over what just happened with Everett outside, and now, this? She's the last person I expected to see standing in the living room.I stand rooted to the spot, watching as Everett stalks toward her.Rachel holds out her hand. “Hi.”“Hi.” He takes it.My eyes immediately drop to their joined hands and for some stupid reason, my stomach twists. It's just a handshake, Amelia.A handshake—so why is it taking them approximately three business days to let go?I look away.Trust me, it’s not like I care—pfft. Not even a little.“...”Everett finally turns toward me.“This is Amelia Hart.”My heart skips a stupid beat as Rachel's eyes move to me, and I offer her a smile.“Hi.” I swallow.I’m talking to my queen!“Hi, Amelia.” Her smile is super polite.Gosh! She responded!I beam.Everett smirks at me before turning back to face her.

Amelia (Labyrinth by Taylor Swift)The house is empty by the time we make our way inside. Everett and I carry the groceries to the kitchen and unpack in silence. By the time we’re done, we both head upstairs to our separate rooms—also without saying anything to each other. We haven’t spoken since we left Olive dining. The moment I shut my door, I heave a long sigh. What now, is he avoiding me? After...I mean, I know he probably said those things just to keep Rachel away like the other girls... but... I just can’t wrap my head around it.Gosh, I need a bath.I enter the bathroom and take a warm shower. After I’m done, I apply my skincare and wear a black camisole and wine satin bum short.I hop into bed but then... I toss and turn, rolling from one side to the other.Shit, I can’t take it anymore.Resolutely, I get off the bed and head out.Everett’s door opens before my fingers even touch the handle, and bare chest comes into view. He’s fresh out of the shower, droplets of water stil

EverettI’m not concentrated on the TV show the guys are watching. I keep checking the time. It’s been an hour now... What could they be talking about that’s taking so long? About half an hour ago I started hearing the faint sounds of a ball being passed around. So, I’m certain they started playing a game around that time. Must be nice. But are they still playing? Geez, I want my baby.I’m not sure Heart even knows that I never wanna be away from her for more than five minutes. No one has an idea of how fulfilled I’ve been feeling since we got together.Amelia Hart is my girlfriend. Amelia Hart? Like we’re exclusive now???? The girl I’ve spent all my life secretly loving… is finally mine.I know she probably thinks I fell for her during our arrangements... Well, I’ll leave it that way for now—can’t afford to scare her away.I remember the first time I set my eyes on her. I was just moving to Westside with my parents after grandpa passed on and Dad’s half-brother chased us out of the f
