She snorted. Suddenly she looked around—they were the only two outside, far from the guests."There's nobody out here, just us." She looked again to verify, and sure enough, it was true."And what about it? I'm not crazy, I'm not going to do anything to you, we're just talking. But we can go back inside if that's what you want," he let her know. At no point had she mentioned that he was crazy. He stepped closer to her and tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear. The sweet gesture drove the young woman completely wild, and she felt as though she had grown wings and was flying toward the sky after feeling his magical touch—one that had lasted such a short time, but felt eternal. The truth was, the tycoon drove her crazy, but throwing herself into the arms of that madness didn't feel right and never would. Still, the two of them stood staring into each other's eyes like a pair of lovers who didn't need to say anything, because their gazes, fixed firmly on each other's depths, already sa

"Anyway, it's best if we stay distanced, it's the healthiest thing. She's no longer the same woman, I don't even recognize her anymore. The person who used to dedicate love and affection to me years ago no longer appears, and maybe she only did it out of obligation, maybe she felt indebted to her sister. The truth is that from one moment to the next everything changed and she no longer looks at me with the same eyes.""Are you sure your aunt is right in the head? Forgive me for asking that question, but no one acts like that from one moment to the next unless something isn't right in their mind," he dared to say.She was left flabbergasted. What he told her made her reflect. While it was true that her aunt had never treated her that badly, that morning she seemed to have transformed. She remained silent, reflecting on his words. She didn't know what to say about it; he had made her think too much, but she couldn't find the words to reply. For an instant, she raised her eyes to the sky

In the end, she nodded and let herself be led by him, who was already pulling her hand to guide her inside the mansion. However, once they arrived inside, they had to be more discreet in their actions and walking, acting as though they were just a pair of acquaintances and not two lovers on the verge of consuming everything burning on their skin.Inside the mansion, the tycoon had to stop every once in a while to greet a couple of acquaintances, and he looked somewhat frustrated and impatient. The young woman also crossed that room on her own, never taking her eyes off him, but at a certain point she lost sight of him and snorted. At that moment, her friend appeared, smiling and wrapping an arm around her shoulders, pulling her toward her. She no longer saw Salvatore, who had probably gone off with some acquaintance to chat. She only assumed so without being sure."Hey, how's it going?" she said, seeming a bit drunk. "Everything's pretty great, at least I'm very comfortable with this

Still drunk, the first thing she did upon arriving inside her bedroom was throw herself onto her bed and start crying like a child. She regretted everything she had said out there."Don't feel guilty anymore, what's said is said, now what you must do is apologize to your father because clearly it wasn't the right way to do things, he didn't deserve to find out like that. But he's going to forgive you because you're his daughter and he loves you.""It's just that I'm an idiot, I shouldn't have done that, he's going to be furious with me. I just felt like it was time to do it, I told you, I promised you I was going to be honest with him," she said, barely understandable since she was talking with her face pressed against the pillow.Hope, with utmost care and affection, turned her over to make her lie face up on the bed and began moving her hand sweetly over her forehead to calm her down—she needed it."Everything is going to be fine, you'll see, you have nothing to worry about.""I thi

Over the young woman's shoulder, he saw his daughter, who was lying on the bed and sleeping peacefully. She looked so defenseless. When had she stopped being a little girl? She was no longer the little one who used to play with her favorite dolls or who would tell him at night to come to her room to tell her a story. Alicia had turned into a gorgeous woman and had already given her heart to a man. He remembered the conversation he had with Salvatore a few minutes ago, where he told him that, despite everything, he was a good man and if he truly loved his daughter, he was willing to support them."It's just that I love Alicia, she is the best thing in my life and I won't find anyone better. Ever since I first saw her, I was flabbergasted... She had already stolen my heart," Salvatore had told him, sitting in one of the office chairs while looking thoughtfully at nothing, remembering the day he first saw Alicia."I never thought something like this would happen between you two. I had no

The desire was relentless, and the urge to surrender completely in that room was unbridled. Emotion blossomed in a way she couldn't quite understand; her pulse was already racing, she no longer knew what to do amidst so much passion, and she admired the dedication with which the tycoon acted. He took his time, making the foreplay an overture she could thoroughly enjoy. The young woman wanted more than what she already had—it wasn't enough, even as she whispered his name in pure delight, repeatedly demanding that his mouth not stop traversing her body the way it was doing right then and there. It was incredible how one person could ignite another so intensely, and she was a witness to it. She could feel the temperature rising nonstop to a feverish level that caused her to lose all sense of reality and feel closer and closer to heaven. He whispered dirty words into her ear, which excited her even more. She felt on fire from head to toe. Her core already felt damp, crying out for his tou

"I know what you're thinking, and you don't need to worry about Alicia; she's still sleeping soundly. But if you want to help her, you could leave a headache pill on her nightstand. I can't stay any longer, time is pressing and I need to be at the company early. A meeting just popped up out of nowhere, but I'll try to get back early today so I can be present for dinner.""All right, I hope you have a great day. After I freshen up a bit, I'll leave the pill for Alicia. May I...""Go ahead, and you're welcome to use my bathroom. I don't mind at all. Or if you prefer, you can go to your room and wrap yourself in a sheet.""Oh my god, I must look atrocious. Don't look at me, my makeup is completely smeared and...""Even looking like that, you don't stop being the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my life," he assured her, making her burn like a volcano."I don't think that's true, but I appreciate the compliment and the attempt to ease my embarrassment."Finally, before leaving for w

"Of course, sir. I can take care of accompanying her myself.""I appreciate it so much. Please keep me updated on everything. If anything comes up, contact me."When she finished talking to her boss, she walked over to the young woman lying down."Your father says we need to take you to a doctor, and that's the most sensible thing in these cases.""I don't think it's necessary. It was just a faint and nothing more.""I don't agree with you, Alicia. Carolina and your father are completely right. The best thing is for you to see a doctor so you can get a diagnosis.""I'm not a kid anymore. I know you guys have good intentions, but I don't see how it was anything major. Look, I feel fine now," she huffed, crossing her arms in a fit of annoyance."Well, I'm just telling you what your father just informed me.""He's always been way too overprotective of me and you guys know it," she rolled her eyes, and Hope studied her friend's behavior, noting that bad humor had suddenly surrounded her.

Alicia decided to invite Salvatore over to the mansion as evening fell and he was free. Hope insisted on leaving them alone, but Alicia earnestly asked her to stay in the living room with them. That way, the young woman witnessed when Alicia told the truth to her partner about her pregnancy."So we're going to have a child, Salvatore. Please hug me, tell me everything is going to be okay," she asked him, taking the initiative herself to step into his arms, and the man embraced her."My love, of course it's going to be okay. I want to stand by you through this process, and you're making me the happiest man alive with this news."She had already told Salvatore; now only her father was missing, who hadn't returned from work yet."I know you're nervous, but trust that everything will turn out fine.""Right, it's not that easy.""I know," he sighed. The two of them were sitting at the dining table when Ashton suddenly arrived. Alicia began to feel even more nervous than before upon her fat

While they debated when to do it, they were fully experiencing Alicia's journey as she prepared in advance for her baby's arrival. Sure, it was still a few months before she gave birth, but she had decided to hurry and get everything her little one would need. They didn't know yet if it would be a boy or a girl, though she had no preference. Salvatore was dead set that it would be a little princess—or maybe those were just his own wishes for a girl. However, he also made it clear a boy would be welcomed with the exact same love."Ashton, what do you think you're doing?" she scolded him playfully. She was washing dishes when he appeared behind her, wrapped his arms around her, and kissed her neck, making her giggle."Don't worry. I just want to feel my woman. Can't I do that?""Not here in the kitchen.""I don't care.""I don't want anyone to see us. If you don't care, I do."Sighing, he kissed her shoulder before releasing her and stepping beside her to watch what she was doing."Are
