Josie pushed the door open to discover an air of loneliness welcoming her home. The living room was empty, and there was no sign of Tyler. His usual house slippers were gone, and his favorite couch blanket was folded nicely on the couch, looking like it had not been used. She frowned and headed upstairs. There were no familiar footsteps and no laughing Tyler running up to her and calling her 'honey'. Even his angry slam of the door was gone. The house was as quiet as a cemetery. Josie's brow furrowed deeper as she opened his bedroom door. His clothes were gone from the cupboard, and his collectibles had disappeared from the drawers. The book he had been reading had disappeared from the nightstand as well. The room was so clean that it looked like no one had stayed there before. Her assistant followed behind her and asked carefully, "Ms. Sinclair, is Mr. Ford… Not at home?"Josie's expression turned cold, and she replied in a calm tone. "He ran away from home."She tried to call T

Josie's expression turned cold. "Get out."Smiling, Shane said, "We're a couple now. What's wrong with us sleeping together?"When she refused to budge, he started tearing up. "If you kick me out, I'll cry!"She closed her eyes and finally compromised. Shane smiled victoriously and pulled out a stack of yellowed letters and drawing pads from under the pillow. "Look at this, Josie. This was the love letter I wrote to you when I was about 10, and I even drew you!"He read his letter out loud excitedly. "Josie smiled at me today again. I like her so much…"After he was done, he hugged Josie tightly and nuzzled her happily. "I never thought that you loved me too. I'm so happy!"She was silent for a long time before suddenly saying, "Let's get married."He froze for a moment before looking up at her. "What?"Josie repeated herself, "Let's get married, Shane."Shane started to panic. "Isn't this a little too soon?""If you want to be with me, this is what you should go through," sh

Josie stopped in her tracks and replied, "He's out of the country. I'm leaving now to get him.""Remember to bring him back for dinner," Josie's father said with a smile. "He's a considerate kid. I was troubled about something before, and he went to an auction to bid on an antique teapot set to cheer me up. He even accompanied your mother to the acupuncturist every week when she was suffering from insomnia."Josie was taken aback. She had no idea that Tyler had done all these things. When she walked out the door, the bodyguards were bringing Shane back. His eyes were swollen from crying all night, and when he saw Josie, he grabbed her arm. "Josie, please don't go!" His voice was trembling. "Let's pretend nothing happened yesterday and not end things. Please?"Josie looked at him and replied calmly, "Then you should tell our parents about us."Shane's grip on her suddenly tightened, but he gradually let her go. He bit his lip and hesitated once more. Josie pushed his hand away

Josie's heart tightened in her chest, and it felt like something was stuck in her throat because she was unable to say another word. Tyler looked at her so calmly that it was almost cruel to watch. "Josie, if I had started with 100 points of love for you, then you've managed to deduct the points over six years. You tricked me into marrying you when you were in love with Shane. Ten points deducted. When it was my birthday, you chose to accompany Shane to a comics exhibition. Ten points deducted."While I was running a high fever and burning at 102 degrees, you were busy picking out a birthday present for Shane. Ten points deducted. You punished Shane by grounding him for one day when he broke two bottles on my head. Twenty points deducted."When he cut my hair and slapped me, you took his side. Thirty points deducted."Every word Tyler said was like a knife to Josie's heart. "After all the points have been deducted, my heart no longer has any trace of you."Josie found it diffic

Josie was standing in front of the window when someone knocked on the door. The cigarette between her fingers was almost completely burned up. She opened the door to see Zoey leaning against the door with a glass of amber-colored whiskey in her hand."I heard you punched Elena." Zoey raised an eyebrow and passed Josie the glass.Josie did not enjoy drinking, and she always drank tea instead, but in that moment, she needed something to numb the waves of emotion raging inside her. She took the glass from Zoey and finished it in one gulp. The burning feeling in her throat felt just like the suffocating feeling she had when she saw Tyler and Elena entangled in a passionate embrace."She was in bed with Tyler." Josie's voice was terribly hoarse. "I couldn't stand to see it.""Tyler?" Zoey suddenly laughed, but the look in her eyes was icy. "How interesting. It's been six years, and this is the first time I've heard you say my little brother's name so tenderly."It could be the effects
