All Chapters of My Sister’s Alpha Chose Me: Chapter 131 - Chapter 140

LSelene returned to Mooncrest two days later, but she did not come back alone. Two representatives from the territory beyond the mountains traveled with her. They were not there to join the alliance. At least, not yet. They had come because they wanted answers.I was waiting in the council chamber when the doors opened, and Selene walked in with the two visitors behind her.The older of the two was a woman named Elira, one of the territory’s senior council members. Her gray hair was pulled tightly away from her face, and there was a calmness in the way she carried herself that made it clear she was not easily intimidated. The man beside her was younger, perhaps only a few years older than me. His name was Darien, and he had introduced himself as one of the territory’s appointed representatives.Neither of them looked hostile. But neither looked comfortable either.Their eyes moved around t

The records were opened three weeks later. It happened quietly, without a ceremony or announcement that would make it seem more important than it was. Representatives from the allied territories were invited to Mooncrest, and each territory was given access to the historical documents Seraphine had approved for release. There were no guards standing over their shoulders, no one telling them which pages they were allowed to read or what conclusions they were supposed to reach. They were simply given the truth.Or, at least, the parts of it we were finally willing to stop hiding.I watched from the far end of the archive as representatives moved between the shelves, reading documents that had been locked away for generations. Some looked shocked. Others looked angry. A few simply stood in silence, taking in information that changed what they thought they knew about the Moon Guard.I understood that reaction.History w

The new guardian system was approved two weeks later. There had been more discussion than I expected, more questions, revisions, and disagreements before everyone finally accepted the arrangement. Some territories wanted longer terms for their representatives, while others argued that shorter terms would make it harder for anyone to become too comfortable with the authority they had been given. In the end, we settled on a rotating system with clear limits. No guardian could claim the sanctuary as their own.No guardian could use the Crown to influence political decisions. No territory could send representatives indefinitely. And no one person could make decisions about the Crown without the knowledge of the others. It wasn’t perfect. But it didn’t need to be.That was something I was still learning. For most of my life, I had believed that safety meant preventing every possible mistake bef

The letter stayed in the wooden box beside my bed for several days.I could have placed it somewhere safer. I could have locked it away with the other important things I had collected over the years.Instead, I kept it close. Not because I was afraid of losing it, but because there was something comforting about knowing it was there.Whenever I looked at the box, I remembered the girl my mother had written about.A girl who had not yet heard the word Moon Queen.A girl who did not know about the Crown, the prophecy, the Moon Guard, or the expectations that would eventually follow her everywhere. She had simply been Liana.Sometimes I wondered what that girl would think if she could see me now.Would she recognize me?I thought she would. At least, I hoped she would.I was still the same person who loved quiet mornings and long conversations with people I trusted. I still

The next morning, Rowan’s proposal was the first thing discussed in the council chamber. It was not treated as an emergency. There were no raised voices or accusations, and nobody suggested that Black Hollow was trying to gain control over the territories around it.Instead, the representatives asked questions. How long would the protection agreements last?Who would decide when protection was no longer needed?Would the smaller territories be allowed to end the arrangement whenever they wanted? What would happen if Black Hollow and the protected territory disagreed?Rowan answered each question himself.“The agreement can end whenever they choose,” he said. “If they no longer want our patrols, we leave.”One of the representatives frowned.“And if you believe they are making a dangerous decision?”“Then I can tell them.”“And if they refuse to listen?”
