FLASHBACK 1 HOUR AGO ★At a corner of the crowded pool, the VASA girls were huddled together. Valentina was fuming with anger after Tamsin and her friends stole the spotlight.“She thinks she can just slap me and walk around here like nothing happened?” Valentina hissed venomously.Aitana crossed her arms. “We have to deal with her tonight.”Sofia looked around. “But how. Everyone's watching her?” “Then we make her embarrass herself while everyone's watching. To think my Mario was looking at her when he's never looked at me like that before. Ohh that bitch has to pay.” Ariadna smirked creepily. Valentina's eyes lit up. “I've noticed that she has only been drinking non-alcoholic drinks. So how about we swap her drink?”All four of them smiled, sharing Valentina's opinion.“Any drink,” She continued. “We'll tell the bartender to make her believe it's a virgin mojito but it's actually the stronger one from the bar. She'll act tipsy. Sa

A voice came through, deep and familiar. “Hey Tamsin, how are you?” The voice asked worriedly. The voice was familiar and at the same time not familiar to her. “Please who is this? And how do you know my name?”A soft laugh came from the other end. “It's me Tamsin. Matteo. Don't tell me you don't recognize my voice.”Tamsin's eyes widened almost immediately in recognition. “Ohh Matteo. I'm sorry I couldn't recognize your voice earlier. It's been all the stress I've been through since yesterday’s accident.”“Never mind,” he said, waving it off. “How are you feeling? Are you in pain?"“I'm okay,” she replied. “Just resting. The nurse gave me some drugs which I've already taken. So I'm okay I guess."There was a pause. Then his voice got serious.“Tamsin I'm really sorry. If I hadn't left you to go answer that call, then you wouldn't have fallen into the pool. And even if you did fall, I would've been the one to save you.”Tamsin bit her lip awkwardly. “No it's not your fault. Everything

Parque de Tercer Depósito ★The park had started to empty out.The last joggers were heading home, the dog walkers were parking up.Parents and children were preparing to go back home, and the sky over Madrid was turning that soft, dusty orange before it went dark.Tamsin pulled her hoodie tighter over her shoulders. Her furry slippers scraped against the pavement as she kicked them lightly. She'd been sitting on the same metal bench for almost two hours now, just staring into space. Her eyes were dry, but red. She'd cried them out already. Her phone was switched off.Purposely.No messages from any more unknown numbers. No calls from anyone.Just silence. She didn't hear footsteps at first. She only felt it–that shift in the air, like someone was getting closer. When she looked up, the path was empty. The trees cast long shadows over the earth. Then she looked up and she saw someone very tall approaching.Mario.He was walking towards her, hands in hi

‘VASA' Girls Suite ★The entire suite was pink. Not just a little pink. Everything was pink.Four en-suite bathrooms were finished in pink marble with gold taps and showers, pink towels folded perfectly. The open kitchen had pink marble countertops, pink bar stools, and a red fridge. The suite was elegant, expensive, and very like them.Aitana was setting her ring light, getting ready to take pictures.Sofia was eating strawberries from a pink bowl.Ariadna was scrolling through TikTok, half lying on the rug.The suite was quiet in a peaceful way until—Knock. Knock. All four looked up.Valentina frowned. “Who's it?”Ariadna grabbed the intercom and pressed it.A girl's face appeared on the screen. The errand girl.Ariadna used her key card and the door unlocked. The girl stepped in quickly, holding a camera in both hands. She looked nervous.“Miss, miss—I took a picture that you really need to see,” she said quickly. The girl walked over and handed

For five minutes, Tamsin didn't move. She just sat there at the edge of the bed, staring at her phone. The screen had gone dark, but she could still see it.Jordan.Judith.The words.Over and over in her head. She wasn't crying. She wasn't breathing loud. She wasn't doing anything. Her mind was blank, but loud at the same time.Like static.Live a TV with no signal.Prom king and Queen?Payback.Revenge.The start of your sorrows—Her fingers were still holding the phone even though it was turned off now.Her eyes were fixed on nothing. The wall. The floor. The empty space in front of her.And then, out of nowhere, it hit her.One tear. Then another. She gasped like she'd been holding her breath the whole time. Her chest caved in and the sobs came hard and fast.Big, ugly, heart-wenching sobs. The kind that shook her whole body. She dropped the phone on the bed and covered her face with both hands, but it didn't help. The tears kept coming. Her shoulders shook. Her breathing ceased.
