CHAPTER ONERHEAI should have known something was wrong the moment Darius stopped answering my calls, not because he was always glued to his phone. He wasn't, but Darius knew me.He knew that when I called three times in a row, something was wrong, and tonight, I had called him seven times.Seven fucking times, but still nothing.I stared at my phone as I sat in the back of the car in disbelief, watching the lights of Sydney blur past the window.“Maybe he’s busy,” I whispered to myself. The words sounded stupid even before they left my mouth.Darius had promised to be home tonight.I had even cancelled dinner with one of my friends because I wanted to surprise him.It was our anniversary, well, not the kind of anniversary most couples celebrated, cause it wasn't our wedding anniversary. It was the anniversary of the day he first told me he loved me.Three years ago.I remembered it perfectly. The stupid little restaurant, and the cheap wine.I remembered his nervous smile, and the wa

RHEA “How far could live frown something deeper as a part of character development, is if until they lose their senses, and go insane I should have knew all the good girls go to hell” …..I was suspended from my father’s company, the same company I had spent years helping rebuild. From the company I had fought for even when everyone assumed I was only there because I was the founder’s daughter.I slowly placed the file back on the table.“Fine.”Peter looked surprised, and I lifted my chin.“But I am going to prove I didn’t do this.”Nobody answered, and I chose to turn around and walked out myself, but the moment the conference-room doors closed behind me, my legs nearly gave out.I grabbed the wall, cause my head suddenly throbbed hard, it was like a sharp pain settled behind my eyes.At first I thought it was all because of what I was going through, but the pain only intensified, so I squeezed them shut. For the last few weeks, the headaches had been getting worse, and i didn’t

RHEAI don’t know if it’s the drink messing with my head, or I have truly gone crazy but I wanted to know how this man tasted and how he felt about me.I’ve lost everything already… I can at least get that… right?“You’re just drunk and don’t know what you’re saying, I would pretend I didn’t hear that,” He replied, removing my hand from his.I frowned hard, and the rejection hit me like a wave. Is he saying I am not worthy enough for him?Have I really fallen that low, I won’t let myself be rejected like this.I rushed in front of him, blocking his part. “How can you reject a pretty lady such as myself,” I asked, pouting. He leaned towards me, his face really close to mine. “Do you know what you’re asking for?” He asked me.I raised my face closer to his, our nose touching slightly. “Yes, have sex with me, Mr. Handsome,” I smiled at him, and he chuckled.“Don’t cry when you realize what you asked for,” he told me and claimed my lips.Fuck, he tasted sweater than any candy I have ever p

RheaI slowly opened my eyes, my eyelids feeling unbearably heavy. The first thing I noticed was how soft the mattress beneath me felt.Warm.Comfortable.Safe.For a brief moment, I simply stared at the ceiling, trying to gather my thoughts.Where am I?My mind felt sluggish, as though it had been wrapped in thick fog.I slowly pushed myself into a sitting position and looked around the room.My bedroom.I let out a quiet breath.I made it home…The last thing I remembered was desperately searching for my flash drive before everything went black. The room door opened.Ivy walked in carrying a steaming cup.The moment our eyes met, relief washed over her face.“Thank goodness you’re awake.”She hurried over and sat beside me on the bed.“What happened?” I asked, accepting the warm cup of milk from her.“I should be asking you that.”She frowned.“I walked in and found my best friend unconscious on the floor.”Guilt crept into my chest.I made her worry again.I lowered my gaze to the

ALEXANDERThe news broke before noon. Our marriage. My marriage to Rhea Lancaster. The woman who had spent years competing against me, the woman whose name had been dragged through every news channel in Australia, and the same woman I had just convinced to sign a contract that would tie her to me.I sat in my office, leaning back against my chair as I watched the headlines spread across my computer screen, and I couldn’t help the small smile that appeared on my face.ALEXANDER SINCLAIR MARRIES DISGRACED LANCASTER HEIRESS.SINCLAIR GROUP CEO DEFIES PUBLIC OPINION FOR RHEA LANCASTER.IS THIS LOVE OR A BUSINESS MOVE?I almost laughed.Love? That was a little too early.I had married Rhea because the arrangement made sense for both of us, and because I knew what she was capable of even if the rest of Australia had suddenly decided she was some careless architect who had nearly killed thirty people.I knew better.I had followed her work for years, and I had seen the way she approached a d
