Lahat ng Kabanata ng REBORN AS THE FAT GIRL THEY HATED : Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

Daisy’s POV I woke to the sound of rain and the frantic slamming of my own heart. My hands flew to the back of my head, expecting torn skin and sticky blood. There was nothing, only thick hair and a smooth scalp. I dragged in a breath so sharp it hurt, then another, and another, until my lungs burned with the simple miracle of air.The ceiling above me was wrong.Cracked white plaster instead of the elegant coffered one in the master bedroom. A cheap paper lantern hung where the crystal chandelier should have been. I sat up too fast the room tilted. This was the tiny studio near campus I had lived in until graduation the narrow bed, the faded quilt my mother had given me, the desk still buried under textbooks and unopened mail.I scrambled out of bed on unsteady legs and stumbled to the full-length mirror propped against the wall. The woman who stared back was twenty-three years old.Round face, soft cheeks, the same full breasts and heavy hips and thick thighs I had spent years apol

Daisy’s POV The first week without Seth felt like walking through a house after a storm everything familiar was still standing, but nothing sat quite where it used to.He did not stay gone. By morning the texts had resumed, spaced out carefully so they would look concerned instead of demanding. I overreacted last night. Can we talk? I hate fighting with you. Then later: Daisy, please. You’re the only person who actually knows me. I read every message exactly once and left them unanswered. Each time my thumb hovered over the keyboard, the memory of marble and blood rose hard enough to steady me.I used the quiet to prepare.I bought two new blouses and a pair of black trousers that fit my hips without apology. In the fitting room I stood under the harsh lights and forced myself to look at the soft roll of my stomach, the thickness of my thighs, the way the fabric stretched across my chest. The old instinct to suck in and turn sideways still lived in my muscles. I exhaled instead and w

Harvey’s POV I had watched Daisy Reed from a distance for years, and every time I told myself that staying away was the right thing to do.I told myself she looked content enough on Seth Ford’s arm. I told myself that inserting myself into her life would only create mess and rumors she did not need. I told myself that a man who truly cared would not disrupt the quiet, stable world she seemed to have chosen. All of those excuses had tasted like ash even then. Now, seeing her again sharper, colder, no longer folding herself into the shape Seth preferred only made the old regret cut deeper. She had walked into that conference room two days ago in simple trousers and a blouse that did nothing to hide the soft fullness of her body, and something in my chest had locked into place. The polite distance in her eyes had almost undone me. She looked at me like I was a stranger. In a way, I deserved it. I had spent years being exactly that: a stranger who noticed too much and did too little.I r

The Room That TurnedHarvey’s POVI had prepared myself for Daisy Reed in work clothes. But I had not prepared myself for this. She stepped out of the car in the crimson dress and the whole entrance seemed to lose its sound. Off-the-shoulder silk. A slit that cut up one full thigh like a dare. Hair swept up, mouth painted the same red as the dress, body held with a stillness that was not apology. For a second I forgot how to breathe in a way that would have embarrassed me if I had been capable of feeling anything except the hit of her.I had sent the dress because I refused to let her walk into that room in something chosen to make her smaller. I had not sent it expecting her to wear it like a verdict. She did.Her name left my mouth before I had decided to speak it. Daisy, low, careful The only word that had ever felt dangerous in my mouth. She told me I had sent a dress. I told her she had chosen to wear it. When she said it fit, I almost answered with the truth.I know because I ha

Harvey’s POVThe car door shut and the noise of the ballroom died like someone had cut a wire.Daisy sat in the opposite corner of the back seat, crimson silk pooled around her, the slit fallen open showing off her thick smooth thighs. She had not looked at me since we left the steps. She had not moved away either. That was the only reason I had not already apologized for the hand I put on her waist in front of half the city’s money.I had told them we were dating. And I had not asked her first. The driver pulled into traffic. Rain streaked the glass. For three blocks I let the silence stand, because didn’t want to say anything too soon. Her eyes came to me, dark and unreadable. “You told them we were dating.”“Yes I didn’t like the things they were saying and I saw an opportunity”.“You didn’t ask”.“Yes, I’m sorry.”She seems so different from the Daisy I knew and was no longer the intimated woman I once knew. “Seth will not stop,” I said. “Neither will Beth. What they did in t
