All Chapters of His Love His Hate: Chapter 11 - Chapter 20

Months had passed since Olivia and Jordan had finally reconciled. What had started as an awkward attempt to honor Joseph’s wishes had slowly turned into a genuine friendship. Olivia was still cautious around Jordan at times, but she no longer felt the same fear she once had whenever he was near her. She even wrote to Joseph about it, telling him that she and Jordan were now friends. Joseph was thrilled when he read her letter. Knowing that his twin brother and the woman he loved had finally buried the hatchet brought him a sense of relief. He had always worried about leaving Olivia behind, but now he felt better knowing that she and Jordan could at least look out for each other while he was away. Jordan also began spending more time at Olivia’s house, and before long, he invited her over to his place as well. Their visits became more comfortable, filled with casual conversations and the occasional laughter that Olivia never tho

Olivia had begun to notice that Joseph wasn’t sending her letters as frequently as he used to. At first, she tried not to think too much about it. He was busy with his work, she reminded herself. Perhaps his duties had become more demanding, leaving him with less time to write. Still, whenever she checked the mailbox and found nothing from him, a small knot of disappointment settled in her stomach. She would read his old letters instead, sometimes more than once, just to reassure herself that everything was fine. She didn’t want to overthink things or allow her mind to wander into places she couldn’t control. If Joseph was busy, then she needed to be understanding. So, she threw herself into work. The more occupied she kept herself, the less time she had to worry.___It was lunchtime at Olivia’s workplace, and instead of eating at the company cafeteria as she usually did,

“Can I steal Jordan for a while?” Justin asked Olivia. “Sure, go ahead,” Olivia replied with a small smile. “Honey, please make her feel comfortable,” Justin said to his wife. He leaned over, gave Rebecca a quick kiss, and followed Jordan outside. The moment they left, Rebecca turned her attention back to Olivia. “So… are you and Jordan married?” she suddenly asked. Olivia nearly choked on her own breath. She coughed, her eyes widening in surprise at the question. “Oh my God, are you okay?” Rebecca asked, immediately concerned. “Yes, I’m fine,” Olivia managed to say between coughs. Rebecca quickly reached for a glass of water and handed it to her. Olivia took it gratefully and drank a few sips before finally feeling better. “Thank you,” she said, handing the glass back.

Olivia spent the night at her parents’ house while Jordan returned home to pack some clothes and a few things he would need before going back to Olivia’s place. He had promised to stay with her for a while, and after seeing how fragile she had become, he wasn’t willing to leave her alone just yet. Olivia took several days off work to mourn Joseph. She barely left the house during those first few days. Everything around her seemed to remind her of him—the sound of his name, old photographs, the memories they had created together, even the smallest things she had once taken for granted. A memorial service was held for the fallen soldiers, followed by arrangements for the unidentified remains. Olivia attended with Joseph’s family, but she barely remembered anything about the ceremony. She stood among the grieving families, staring ahead with hollow eyes, still unable to fully accept that Joseph would never walk through the door ag

Olivia decided to keep the baby, just as she had promised Rachel. It wasn’t a decision she had made because she suddenly felt ready to become a mother. Deep down, she was still struggling to accept the pregnancy and everything it represented. But Rachel had already lost one child, and Olivia couldn’t bring herself to take away the only piece of her son she still had. Still, Olivia had made up her mind to leave the city as soon as the baby was born. Everywhere she looked, there was something that reminded her of Joseph, of Jordan, and of the life she had once thought she would have. There were happy memories too—memories she would treasure for the rest of her life—but lately, the painful ones seemed to outweigh everything else. A couple of weeks later, Jordan returned. The moment Olivia saw him, anger and disgust rose inside her. She still couldn’t believe he had the nerve to show his face after what he had
