On the way home, Ava pulled the car over in a quiet, secluded area.“You barely ate anything earlier,” she said. “I made this chicken soup beforehand. Have some to fill your stomach. Even the corrupt doctors and nurses in the operating room were startled.The doctor pushed Henry aside and frantically signaled to the others, “Quick, resuscitate him immediately!”Henry’s legs went limp. Pushed aside by the corrupt doctor, he tumbled straight onto the floor. Yet, he felt no pain at all. He just stared blankly at Finn, who was covered in blood on the operating table.He wasn’t sad about Finn’s death. “Ava, don’t blame yourself for it. Finn failing to make it off the operating table was just his fate. No one is to blame. At least Henry is okay. Now that his illness is cured, the two of you can live happily ever after from now on.”Ava shoved Mrs. Jones’s hands away and roared hysterically, “What do you mean, it was just his fate? It felt so ridiculous to her.They had killed someone, yet they didn’t feel ashamed at all. Instead, they expected her to help them cover it up. And to think she had actually hurt Finn for people like them.Ava closed her eyes, and tears silently slid down her face.Mrs. Jones spoke up again. “Ava, you were involved in this too. If you call the police, you’ll be held responsible as well.”Ava knew that, but even so, she was going to get justice for Finn. There wasn’t much left for her to make amends with. This was all she could do.After calling the police, Ava entered the operating room. There, Finn lay on the freezing operating table, his body covered in small cuts inflicted by Henry.She touched Finn’s face. It was so pale and so cold, so much so that it sent a shiver down her spine.When the medical examiner arrived, he determined that Finn’s death was caused by sudden cardiac arrest. There were multiple injuries on his body, including a severe laceration on his right leg.

After receiving her answer, Ava wasn’t happy at all. Instead, she felt much sadder.Finn was willing to give up his very life for her.
