“I am not telling you this to sweet talk you into accepting to be my Luna, no. But I just want you to know that I am not going to stop trying. Feeling this way for anyone after such a long time is not something I am willing to let go like that.” He remarked. There was nothing that came into my head to reply him with so I just sat there, staring at my fingernails still.“My bad. I should really not be pushing you too hard.” He apologized, probably thinking that I was not saying anything because of what he had said.Back in my room, I was not sure about what to do anymore. Atticus seemed really genuine about what he was saying to me and not only that, he is kind hearted which made me feel really attracted to him but then there is the issue of me not having a wolf; it was not going to work that way. If I decide to go on with it, I am the one at risk here and it will not be a jolly ride for me, I had better keep avoiding him and turning him down. The next morning, I was quickly done with

“Sorry. That must have looked a bit awkward but you know everyone around here knows you, right. I mean, who would not know the girl that the Alpha….”It was obvious where she was going to land her statement at so I quickly stopped her but in a rather polite and mild way accompanied by a forced smile, “Nice to meet you Jen. I should get going to the washroom now.”Before she could say anything, I picked up my basket and walked away at a quick pace, not even looking back to see her reaction. Something is not right about her but I guessed it might just be my reaction to how awkward she had acted at first.A couple of hours later, I was done with the laundry; washing, ironing and folding. I was taking the clothes back to Atticus’ room when I came across Kira.“If it is mot the busy bee queen herself.” She teased me.“Come on. Stop.” I gave her a half-frowned face because I was tired after the work I had just finished and was in no mood for jokes or teasing. She placed an arm on my shoulde

“Here you are.” Kira said as she approached where Jen and I were sitting. She sat right beside me.“Checked you earlier in your room.”“I just wanted to feel the breeze outside, something natural.” I said.I noticed that Jen had gone awfully quiet from the moment Kira had joined us.“So Jen, what were you saying?” I asked her.“We can just talk some other time. I have to go.” She had disappeared back into the palace before I could say anything to reply to what she said. Her actions felt off.Kira was the first to speak after Jen had left, “Going away as usual.”“Who?”“Her. Your friend. Wait, you do not know?”I was confused, “What are you talking about?”“Seriously? I thought you would have known about it since she is your ‘friend’.” She made the stress sign with her fingers.“Come on. What are you talking about?”“Not even an idea? I mean almost all the maids know, if not all.”Her avoiding the question I asked made me impatient, “Kira, are you telling me or not?”“Ok. Apart from no

As I grew closer with Jen, I noticed that she does not want anyone to be around us whenever we were having a conversation; a few times she leaves immediately she sees Kira approaches us. To me, I had thought she might be feeling uncomfortable with being around other people since she does not appear to he so good with relation so I tried to tell Kira but she got offended by it and it caused our friendship to hit a rock.“Did she tell you to tell me that?” Kira had asked.“Of course not. That will be ridiculous.”“I bet it can not be more ridiculous than what you are telling me now, could it?” She was obviously pissed now and I tried to calm her down.“Do not get my words wrong, Kira. I just….”“Ooh. No, I think I understood what you meant pretty well. In fact, let me go over it for you to make you know I did get your words right.”“Kira….” She did not allow me say whatever it was I wanted to, she did not stop talking.“You do not want me coming around you anytime you and your new ‘frie

There was a brief moment of silence like Heather was waiting for him to continue talking and mention the person he was talking about but he also was expecting her to ask who he had in mind. She broke the silence at last, “Well, say the name.”“Gilmore.” Klein said, stroking his chin as he appeared to be in deep thought on what he had just said.“Your friend, Gilmore?”He nodded slightly to reply affirmative.“What about the news going around you two that you are no more on speaking terms?”Klein turned to look at her briefly before turning his head back. He was a little surprised how she had gotten to know about what went down between him and his friend. She noticed his behavior, “By now, I will be disappointed if you still do not know that I have my way of knowing things; even the ones you think you buried deep in your chest.”“He is the only one I can think of that will prove genuine for your plan.” Klein shifted the topic back to the discussion they had at hand.“So, do you think h
