Terah's biggest mistake was helping Chet, a dreambender. That simple act of kindness led her to being killed thus making her a Forgotten, a wandering soul in the spiritual world. Sidapa, the god of Death, himself made a proposition. She will become his assassin and he will free her spirit from Dremlan, where her spirit was imprisoned. Not only that, he gave her another body to use so that she will be able to go back to the physical world.. Another problem came when her body nearly expired and she needed another body to use. She found out that her body was still okay and was just waiting for her spirit to return. Before that will happen, she will need to get back her essence that she gave to Chet by kissing him. Simple, right? But not for her. How could she kiss a man who betrayed her? Above all else, Zachary the vampire is also possessive of her.

Prologue
Zachary knew Dianne's love for him vanished. She was only staying because of their seven-year-old son, Calvin. For vampires who were not soulmates, it was amazing that they stayed for almost a century. And even had a child. "Dianne," he started. He wanted to hold her and embraced her while feeling her warmth but he held back. Her back was on him. They were in bed but they were not sleeping. It was nighttime but none of them wanted to succumb to sleep. Their child was on the other side of the room, sleeping. Peacefully. When a vampire reaches the age of eighteen, their body starts to transition to become an immortal. Some lives but some also died. It depends on the individual's body. If his body survives the changes. "What?" she spat. She inched closer at the edge of the bed. She did not do it befor

Chapter 1
FROM THE  moment Terah woke up, she knew it was a bad day. Rain was heavily pouring. She did not bring her umbrella with her. It was a sunny day earlier but now she was soaking wet. She should have listened to her mother. She was shouting to bring her umbrella every single day but it was her laziness which made her not too. She scanned her surroundings. People ran back and forth. Some were walking slowly with an umbrella in one hand while hugging their significant others. At the age of twenty-three she still didn't have a boyfriend. She was jealous of the others. Why was it easy for some to be in a relationship while it was the other way around for her?

Chapter 2
THE VAMPIRE was still staring at the fountain. He looked gloomy. Like he recently lost someone dear to him. It was still a couple of minutes more before the sun set. Rays of sunlight were showered in his direction but the man did not even mind the heat. If he was really a vampire, how come he did not get any burn? Was that dreambender bluffing? Was it a prank?Terah grabbed the umbrella in her bag. “Mister.”“I told you my name. It’s Zachary,” he said, irritated. Zachary was not even surprised when she approached him. “I’m sorry if I did not remember the name of a stranger. It’s just that if someone always lacks sleep, she becomes forgetful,” she answered. How dare this man lecture her?

Chapter 3
A COUPLE of minutes passed, Terah and Chet were bound to go. She had no choice but to go with him. He was the only one who knew the locations of the dreambenders’ bodies. They were in a jungle and it felt like all the bugs were crawling on her skin. In the distance, the birds were singing. They must really know what she was feeling right now ‘cause it felt like they were singing a sad song. Just for her. Especially delivered. Now she was a Very Important Person. VIP "Can't you wish that we are now in your place? It’s a dream right? You can do whatever you want.""Who’s the fool that told you that?""Nobody. A guess." That would be her. "Th

Chapter 4
TERAH’S spirit vanished in Chet’s arms but she was still here. She stood beside him and attempted to touch him but her hands went past. He looked like he lost from one of the important battles of his life. “It’s okay, Chet. Maybe I am still alive. For you to find out, fulfil your promise. Go to my world, awaken me. Remember your promise, please,” she begged him. Hope that Chet would also let Zachary remember her. Chet looked around. Confusion was evident in his eyes as he saw the blood on his hands. He stared at his hands and shook his head. The sword was still on chest. He pulled it while gasping for breath. He succeeded. Then he tore some clothings and wrapped it around his chest. He was still bleeding (thanks to her healing, it was only minimal) but as moments passed by, the blood stopped.

Chapter 5
Ten years later....Sweat beaded on Terah's forehead. Blood and sweat mixed the air from where she stood. Her white t-shirt was now red from the blood of her enemies. Not her enemies but Sidapa. It turned out some gods were not on the man's side. Some of them were angry for whatever reason she could not fathom. The gods and their infinite grudges. No wonder they had so many wrinkles making them look like a thousand year old. After a few years of being an assassin, she also made a name for herself. She was known as his assassin. Nobody tries to mess with them. She really didn't care. For ten years, she had done everything Sidapa wanted. He trained her to become the warrior she was now. Yes. She became a weapon to him, a murderer, an assassin. And his errand girl. In return, he gave her cash to su

Chapter 6
TERAH’S hope was replaced by irritation.“How could I kiss a man who was the reason why I was killed? Are you making fun of me, D? I don’t like that joke of yours.”She could see that Sidapa shrugged. “It’s your choice but when the time comes you will really return to being Forgotten, don’t blame me. I can only help you once. Once you go back to that state, you will become an evil spirit that will bring havoc to humankind and the Dreamland. A lot of dreambenders will be after your life since Forgotten are the biggest threat they could ever have. You can kill them in their sleep.”Terah’s knees gave out. “You love torturing me, right? After all the things I did for you? I killed for you, D without any questions. And this? T-this! Tell me. Are you dying and t

Chapter 7
TERAH was still in a daze as she walked.  If she wanted, she could teleport with the blink of an eye but chose to walk and ride the public bus. She wanted to relieve the moment when she was still a student where her only problems were her grades, part-time jobs, and seven siblings. She wasn't able to meet her father. She will be back. She wanted to bond with her siblings. She missed all of them. Their naughtiness. Their noises. Their giggles. Everything about them. That can wait. She had a lot of enemies hot on her tails. They were waiting for any signs of weaknesses. If they found out they were her family, they would be in great trouble. Now that she had been gone for a long time, she appreciated all of them. It was wrong of her to think tha

Chapter 8
TERAH was bored and tired. She had nothing to do except to watch a movie on a paid online site. She made sure to make a different subscription service for watching TV episodes and movies from different countries. Because sometimes, after a mission, she had nothing left to do but to stare at the ceiling then think of her family. She wanted to kill the boredom. She had no one to talk to. She also had no friends whom she could drink with due to the nature of her work. The plus side was that there were no neighbors to irritate her. They rarely saw her. Which was good since it meant less emotional attachments. The people also recognized her privacy and did not talk behind her back. Which was the reason she seemed not to follow D's suggestion to move. Never! She loved it here.

Chapter 9
TERAH saw Mariah staring at the ceiling when she arrived. The television was on in the background. Different snacks were scattered on the table.  Mariah was a mess. Her hair looked like a bird's nest. She was wearing pajamas but she was doubtful if it was new."Mariah?" she called. The woman wasn't able to hear her call so she just entered. She told Terah her passcode. According to her, if she wanted to sleep over, she could do it. Freely. The woman wouldn't mind. Mariah looked up. "You came." She got up. Cleaned the table. Put the trash in the garbage can. Offered her some drinks but Terah declined. "I'm full," she rejected. Besides, how can she eat if her friend was having a problem? "I apprecia
