As a 'One Piece' fan, I think perhaps the chicken might have heard 'Grand Line' playing off in the Other Side! Oh, to search for adventure like a 'One Piece'... I mean, corn. There's only one chicken who crosses a road like that!

You see, the entire meaning seems to be transformed when an anime slant is applied. Suppose the road that the chicken crosses is "Naruto (Death Note)" and then the chicken steps on the other side? Or maybe in this way: The chicken was going to be late for a ninja class (Narutoversely) on the other side of the road!

Ah, the thrill of crossing the road! What seems like an everyday action may lead directly into depths of 'Steins Gate'; as one small chicken hops all across the road, its profoundly alters the course (of Animeverse Response).
