What Is The Correct Order To Read The Legacy Series Books?
Just finished the first Legacy novel but the prequel threw me off. I've seen fans talk about chronological vs publication order online.

For the legacy series, the publication order is usually safest, so start with 'Book One: The Founder's Legacy', then 'Book Two: Rising Generations', followed by the prequel 'Book Zero: Early Years' if you want deeper backstory, and finally 'Book Three: United Future'. It's a common reading order that keeps character reveals intact. That structure reminds me of the sprawling family dynamics in 'The Billionaires Heirs Series', where the author jumps between three rival cousins inheriting a corporate empire, and you really need to follow their timelines in order to catch all the boardroom betrayals and hidden alliances.

I’ve been hooked on the 'Legacy' series since the first book, and the most satisfying way to read it is chronologically. Begin with 'Children of Blood and Bone', which sets the stage with its breathtaking world-building and fierce protagonist, Zélie. Then move on to 'Children of Virtue and Vengeance', where the political and magical tensions escalate in thrilling ways. The third book, 'Children of Anguish and Anarchy', ties up loose ends while delivering heart-pounding action and emotional depth.
If you're a completionist, don’t miss the supplementary materials like 'Beasts of Prey', but save them for after the main trilogy to avoid disrupting the flow. This order keeps the surprises intact and lets you fully appreciate the character arcs and world evolution.

I can confidently guide you through the 'Legacy' series reading order. The best way to experience the full depth of the story is to follow the publication order, which allows you to uncover the narrative layers as intended by the author. Start with 'Legacy of Orisha: Children of Blood and Bone', a vibrant and magical tale that introduces the world of Orisha and its struggles. Follow this with 'Children of Virtue and Vengeance', where the stakes rise dramatically, and the characters' journeys become even more compelling.
Next, dive into 'Children of Anguish and Anarchy', the third installment that expands the lore and intensifies the conflicts. For those who crave more, the novellas and companion books like 'Beasts of Prey' add rich context, but they should be read after the main trilogy to avoid spoilers. This order ensures you experience the emotional crescendos and plot twists at the right moments, making the series unforgettable.

For the 'Legacy' series, the correct order is straightforward: 'Children of Blood and Bone', followed by 'Children of Virtue and Vengeance', and ending with 'Children of Anguish and Anarchy'. This sequence ensures you follow the characters’ growth and the unfolding magic system logically. Each book builds on the last, creating a cohesive and thrilling experience.

Reading the 'Legacy' series in order is key to enjoying its epic storytelling. Start with 'Children of Blood and Bone' to immerse yourself in the magical world of Orisha and root for Zélie’s journey. The sequel, 'Children of Virtue and Vengeance', ramps up the drama and conflict, making it impossible to put down. Finally, 'Children of Anguish and Anarchy' brings the trilogy to a powerful close. Stick to this sequence to savor every twist and emotional beat.

The Red Devil Pack (under the guise of rogues) attacked the Silver Wolf Pack and killed everyone except the pregnant Luna who wasn't there at the time. She went into hiding, and before her daughter turned 18, she passed away. Her daughter, Adriana, has grown up thinking she is nothing more than an Omega until she finds out she is the fated mate of the Alpha, Daemon, in the pack she has been hiding. He doesn't want a mate, especially an Omega but finds he cannot reject her. He finds out that she is much more than he realises, and he has to save her from those who would harm her for the power she brings.
This book was originally a standalone but has become a series of five books. All of them are/will be in this book.
She came back to New York to sign a few papers and disappear again.
Instead, Elara Monroe walked straight into the war her mother started twenty-four years ago.
Cassian Vale has been watching her for months, the last living heir to the woman who burned his family’s empire to ash. Revenge was supposed to be simple until he touched her and realized the fire in her blood felt like home.
Now she’s caught between two brothers who should hate her:
Cassian, the ruthless billionaire who wants her heart even more than he once wanted her ruin, and Adrian, the ex who left her once and will spend the rest of his life trying to earn her back.
But the real danger isn’t the men who love her.
It’s the uncle who once decided her mother belonged to him and who has waited decades to claim the daughter Victoria died protecting.
Some legacies are written in money and power.
This one is written in blood, secrets, and the kind of love that survives everything even the truth.
Nyma, the Privileged Luna, never imagined her life would be dictated by an unbreakable mate bond. Raised in a werewolf pack where loyalty to a single mate was sacred, she struggled to accept her fate with Prince Adrain—the future Lycan King.
Six months into their marriage, Nyma has balanced the weight of leading her pack and navigating the treacherous politics of the Lycan royal family. She sacrificed her claim to the throne, choosing freedom over power, earning the scorn of her mate’s family—especially Second Prince Lucian, the brother who still dares to claim her as his second mate.
On the night of her baby shower, everything shatters. Secrets unravel, betrayals surface, and Nyma walks in on the ultimate heartbreak—her mate entwined with the one woman from his past he swore meant nothing.
Now, with her heart in pieces and her child’s future at stake, Nyma must decide: fight for a bond that has only brought her pain or break free from fate and forge her own destiny?
Love may be fated—but trust is earned. And Adrain has just lost hers.
She survives. And then she takes everything.
Left for dead, Nyma rises from the ashes with a single purpose—to reclaim the legacy that was stolen from her and make the ones who wronged her choke on their own betrayal. The young Luna was never meant to be a pawn in Lycan politics, and she sure as hell won’t be a forgotten footnote in Adrian’s story.
She builds her own pack, her own empire. And when the so-called King and his family come crawling, desperate for the very heir they discarded?
Oops. Her bastard just took their legacy.

Dash is a single billionaire with a gigantic dark secret. He is the Underboss of the biggest Mafia in New York City. Grace is Dash’s polar opposite, but opposites attract and Dash can’t stop thinking about the girl he saved the night he covered his twin brother’s . The girl who was dancing on the table trying to strip her clothes, and ended up in his arms. The same girl that emptied her stomach all down his new leather jacket.
Getting to know Grace and trying to seduce her will be Dash’s biggest challenge, bigger than taking down the Italian Mob that is threatening their power in New York. How serious will Dash be about Grace when he sees a target on her back? Will he be able to put her above everything and everyone, or will go back to his old self not caring about anyone else?
This is the second book of The Legacies Series. You can read this book as a stand-alone, but for better comprehension, it is advisable to read the first book of the series. “The Reaper CEO”
I was so confused when I first jumped into this series because of all the different books floating around. The core is the seven main 'I Am Number Four' books: 'I Am Number Four', 'The Power of Six', 'The Rise of Nine', 'The Fall of Five', 'The Revenge of Seven', 'The Fate of Ten', and 'United as One'. That's the essential spine.
But then there are the 'Lost Files' novellas, which are collections of short stories originally released as ebooks. They add backstory for characters like Six, Nine, and Adam. You can read them after the main book they're connected to, or save them all for after the series. I read them alongside and liked the extra depth.
Honestly, the spin-off series 'Lorien Legacies Reborn' follows a new generation, so definitely save that for after 'United as One'. The reading order gets messy if you try to mix those in too early.
After finishing the original seven-book cycle, I felt a real void. The journey, especially with the novellas adding depth, was incredibly immersive. The sequel series couldn't quite recapture that magic for me, but the original Lorien Legacies, read in the blended order, is a top-tier YA sci-fi experience.
Character deaths hit harder when you've followed the sequence properly. There are a few major losses in the later books that feel earned (or sometimes frustrating) because of the history built up. Skipping books would completely neuter the emotional impact of those moments. The order builds the necessary attachments.
Wait, there are more books after 'United as One'? I thought that was the finale. My reading journey might not be over after all. I need to look into this 'Legacies Reborn' thing. Are the original characters still in it, or is it a completely fresh cast?
especially fantasy sagas, I can tell you that the 'Legacy' series by Michael Gear and Kathleen O'Neal Gear is a sprawling epic. It consists of a whopping 11 books, each one packed with rich world-building and intricate character arcs. The series starts with 'The First North Americans' and spans centuries, blending archaeology and adventure. The Gears have a way of making history feel alive, and the sheer volume of the series means you'll be lost in their world for ages.
If you're a fan of detailed historical fiction with a touch of the mystical, this series is a treasure trove. The books are meticulously researched, and the storytelling is immersive. From 'People of the Wolf' to 'People of the Morning Star,' each installment adds layers to the overarching narrative. It's the kind of series that rewards long-term investment, with callbacks and recurring themes that tie everything together beautifully.
