How To Download McGraw Hill Ebooks Legally For Free?
Just started a course requiring a few McGraw-Hill textbooks. Is there any way to get them as free ebook downloads through library partnerships or trial memberships legally?

For the most reliable access, check with your local library to see if they offer access to educational publishers through services such as Libby or Hoopla. Often a student ID or university affilliation is sufficient for a university library to lend textbook titles digitally for a temporary loan period, even if you are no longer a student, with an alumni or guest login. For completely free stories, there are plenty of public domain works and original stories online at web novel sites like the ongoing ‘CARNAL TEMPTATIONS-A collection of 50 steamy stories’ that is updated right on the site without having to download.

I am a cheap reader and prefer to pay for books that I will keep for a long time, not for books that I will throw away after one use. Every now and then McGraw Hill offers free eBooks on their official website. They can be found under the tab ‘Promotions’. I prefer to get my eBooks from the library. There are many applications that allow you to borrow eBooks and eAudio books from the library for free, such as Libby. There are also many free educational eBooks available online, offered by non profit organizations such as Project Gutenberg. However, they do not have all the McGraw Hill books available for free. Make sure to check if the organization offering the eBook is authorized to do so to avoid piracy. It’s worth the extra effort to read your eBooks legally and to respect the copyright of the authors.

As a broke college student for the past few years, I've had to get creative to get hold of required texts for my classes. Occasionally, McGraw Hill will run a promotion where they give away free eBook versions of their texts, usually around back-to-school time. You can sign up for their e-newsletter to catch these deals. I've also found that joining online forums or subreddits (r/FreeEBOOKS, anyone?) dedicated to finding free books is a great way to score legit copies of titles published by McGraw Hill and other publishers.
In addition to the above methods, it is also worth noting that many universities have negotiations with publishing companies to offer free e-books or e-books at a reduced price to university students. Auditing a free online course could also lead to gaining access to required e-books for said course. Note, however, that the source of the book must be legal and not pirated.

To access quality educational resources and avoid committing piracy, I only search for legal ways to access said materials. For example, on the official McGraw Hill website, for students and educators alike, there are a selection of free eBooks available. In addition, we can access McGraw Hill eBooks for free in a legal manner by borrowing them through our local libraries using platforms such as OverDrive or Libby and using our library card to sign in to our accounts.
Most academic institutions have digital libraries of textbooks including many published by McGraw Hill. These can be accessed by students via their college’s website. If that fails to yield what you need then there are many free textbook sites including OpenStax, books published by Rice University and the material is used by students worldwide. Authors and publishers should be paid for their work – it’s a short cut to help yourself to copy to succumb to pressure to seek out illegal means of access to McGraw Hill textbooks.

Years ago, when I was in the classroom I always told my students to start by looking for free eBooks that are offered by authors and publishers through legal channels. One example would be through a program like Inclusive Access that many schools subscribe to and on occasion students will even get to take advantage of heavily discounted digital textbooks. I also tell people that public libraries are an underutilized resource that carry eBooks, including McGraw Hill titles, through services such as Hoopla or CloudLibrary. Many states also offer digital library consortia that offer eBooks for free to residents of that state.
If you are an independent learner, you can check McGraw Hill’s website or look for older editions on Amazon. Many publishers make older editions available for free when a new edition is released. Note, however, that content can change dramatically between editions, so be sure to verify that the information in the free book is current and relevant. It is also very important to find resources via ethical means and feel good about supporting the people that work so hard to create such valuable learning tools.

By free, I really mean free. Lots of "free" textbooks, etc., are actually just old or pirated versions of paid work, posted by unaffiliated or even scams sites. So, scan of of a reputable publisher like McGraw Hill (often in textbook reserve rooms at the universities' libraries) would be your "free"est option. Heavily scanned pages are blurry, etc. The worst part is that lots of the "free" options can have hidden viruses. But scanned copies of books are all you get for free with really good textbooks. Take pictures of the chapters you need with your phone at the library and you're done.
Your prof may have an extra copy of the eBook code from their rep. Be nice to them after class and explain your financial constraints. They may be able to get you temporary access to the required eBook or even better direct you to an alternative resource that the prof knows about.
