Compared to Sabers, Riders rarely excel at pure melee duels, but compared to Casters they can be far more direct and tangible threats because they bring mounts, armies, or monstrous beasts to the fight. In gameplay terms (like in 'Fate/Grand Order') they often have class advantage over Caster and suffer against Saber, which creates clear strengths and weaknesses. For me, Riders are underrated storytelling-wise — their Noble Phantasms tend to be memorable, and with proper support they can shift an entire battle's momentum, turning a matchup that looks bad on paper into a spectacular comeback.
