Vol. 3 is a solid follow-up, but it doesn’t quite hit the highs of the Abnett/Lanning era. The stakes feel smaller, which isn’t necessarily bad—it’s more character-driven, focusing on the Guardians as a dysfunctional family. Drax and Mantis have standout moments, and the new roster additions (like Hercules, of all people) keep things unpredictable.
Art-wise, it’s gorgeous, with bold colors and dynamic paneling. But the plot meanders at times, especially in the middle arcs. Still, if you’re craving that signature Guardians mix of irreverence and heart, it delivers. Just don’t expect it to reinvent the wheel.
I picked up Vol. 3 after hearing mixed reviews, and honestly? It’s grown on me like a space fungus. The first few issues felt a bit disjointed—like the team was still finding its footing post-'Infinity Wars.' But around Issue #5, everything clicks. Star-Lord’s arc is surprisingly poignant, and the way the story weaves in lesser-known cosmic characters (hello, Moondragon!) is a treat for longtime Marvel fans.
The humor lands more often than not, though some jokes feel forced—like they’re trying too hard to match the movies’ vibe. But when it leans into the emotional beats, like Rocket’s backstory or Warlock’s existential crises, it shines. Not essential reading, but if you’re already invested in the Guardians’ cosmic mess, it’s a fun ride.
The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' comics have this wild, chaotic energy that’s hard to replicate, and Vol. 3 is no exception. If you’re into cosmic Marvel with a mix of humor, heart, and outright absurdity, it’s a blast. The way Al Ewing writes the team dynamics feels fresh—especially with how he handles characters like Rocket and Phyla-Vell. The art by Juann Cabal is vibrant and kinetic, perfectly matching the story’s tone.
That said, it might not be for everyone. If you prefer grounded, street-level stories, the cosmic scale and constant interdimensional shenanigans could feel overwhelming. But if you’ve enjoyed previous 'Guardians' runs or Ewing’s work on 'Immortal Hulk,' this is a no-brainer. It’s a love letter to weird sci-fi and found family, with enough emotional punches to balance the craziness.

With Ethan gone, they believed that Riveria belonged to them.
Little did they know that the border forces rejoiced. "Ethan is gone? Hahaha! No one can get in our way now. Let's get started!"
Foreign enterprises also jumped for joy. "Riveria is perfect for factories. Without Ethan stopping us now, nobody can stop us!"
Chaos returned, and people began to yearn for Ethan. As they investigated his life, shocking truths emerged.
He was the author of bestselling books and had donated hundreds of millions to the impoverished. He had even provided homes to the families of national heroes.

It was said that when Lucifer was casted out of heaven, he swore on his powers to take revenge. His ego was hurt. He wanted the humans to pay for whatever happened to him. So he planted seven seeds of evil on earth as soon as he resurrected his true powers.
As God always knew the plotting Lucifer was doing, God secretly created a plan to defeat Lucifer. The battle was between Lucifer and his demons against humanity. God also planted seeds of goodness, power, bravery and loyalty on earth too. With a little twist to surprise Lucifer with. Only the holy and religious people have known of that plan.
Lucifer called it the age of his Victory against the humans. While God called it the Age of the Mighty Guardians.
