A fire bending prodigy and an important character in 'The Last Airbender', Azula has created her own path in more than one sense of the word. After the war was over she suffered a mental breaking as result of combined defeats at hands Zuko and Katara; for which at least momentarily to make sane she was committed into a hospital.
Later she escapes this mental hospital in the comics, embarking on a journey of recovery and self-discovery. She formed the Fire Warriors, trying to talk Zuko out of his throne with no success. All in all, her story is centered around her mental illness and her inability to cope with setbacks.

Katara is around 85 years old in 'The Legend of Korra'. If you remember her from 'Avatar: The Last Airbender', she was just a young girl of 14 years then. 'The Legend of Korra' takes place about 70 years after the end of the first show, so doing some quick math works out to Katara being in her mid-80s.
It’s fascinating to see her character mature from a rebellious and passionate young girl to a wise and supportive elderly woman who serves as a mentor to the new Avatar. Everyone's favourite Waterbender surely aged gracefully!
And despite her age, she still showcases her awesome Waterbending skills and knowledge! The creators did a great job maintaining Katara’s essence while also showing her development as she aged along the timeline of the Avatar universe.

Korra x Asami fanfiction often dives deep into their emotional growth post-canon, focusing on how they navigate their relationship in a world still recovering from chaos. Many stories highlight their struggles with communication, especially Korra’s lingering insecurities from her battles with PTSD and self-doubt. Writers craft scenarios where Asami becomes her anchor, helping her rebuild confidence while balancing her own grief over losing her father. I’ve read fics where their journey takes them to the Spirit World, exploring themes of healing and rediscovery. These narratives often emphasize their mutual support, showing how they grow stronger together. Some fics also delve into their professional lives, with Korra mentoring new airbenders while Asami expands Future Industries. I love how authors weave in cultural elements, like Korra reconnecting with her Water Tribe roots while Asami embraces her heritage. The best stories balance action with introspection, making their growth feel organic and earned.
Another layer I’ve noticed is how fanfics explore their dynamic within Team Avatar. Writers often portray them as a power couple, leading the group with a mix of compassion and determination. Their relationship becomes a source of inspiration for others, showing how love can thrive even in tumultuous times. I’ve seen fics where they face external challenges, like political intrigue or new villains, forcing them to rely on each other in new ways. These stories often highlight their resilience, proving that their bond is unbreakable. For a fresh take, I’d recommend fics that blend adventure with slice-of-life moments, showing them finding joy in the little things.

A fascinating character in "The Legend of Korra," Korra's status toward the end of the series livened up many a dinner party discussion with the topic of her sexuality. We cannot point blank label her as a lesbian because throughout the series, she has had both male and female love interests. She first appeared as Mako's girlfriend. At the end of the series, however, in the last moment of Asami and Korra are about to head out for a Spirit World vacation together. This is a very beautiful scene, in which Asami grasp their hands tight and looks deeply into each other's eyes. This suggests that Korra may be a possible homosexual is more likely than a sure lesbian. Because she shows attraction to both genders, that makes her bisexual instead of lesbian. But it is important to remember that Korra's journey of self-realization and acceptance, like many people's before her, is not so much about labelling as exploring who she is at heart. And the fact that such a character can be brought into mainstream media, especially a cartoon series, gives another dimension to this issue of representation and diversity. Which means that many discussions have followed on from that point about sexuality in media.Korra and Asami's relationship was later confirmed by the show's creators, Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino. They see this as an important moment in bisexual representation within animation.

The person who succeeded Korra in the “Avatar: The Last Airbender” series is Avatar Wan. Wan was the the first Avatar ever and he is also the subject of 'The Legend of Korra.' However there is nothing in the official cap canon about whom then the after fourth scholars became Avatar after Korra.

As a guru of ACGN culture, the answer is no. 'The Legend of Korra' leaves our fiery protagonist, Korra, very much alive. The series finale sees her starting off on a new journey, not into the spirit world, but into the realm of self-discovery. In a bold move for an animated series, it ends with her choosing to explore her feelings for Asami, hinting at a blossoming romantic relationship. Live on, Korra, your story continues off-screen.

'Farum Azula' is quite a swirling vortex of complexity but captivating nonetheless. To get to your query about Alexander, as per my intellect, he's tucked away in the underbelly of the city, using his tactical acumen to navigate the dark terrain. This might not be exactly helpful for you, but 'Farum Azula' is one of those games where every twist and turn offers macrocosmic mysteries.
