Does Horror Story Korean Movie Have A Sequel?

Films like 'I Saw the Devil' or 'The Host' are so complete in themselves that a sequel would feel unnecessary. But there are exceptions—'Phone' got a sort-of spiritual successor with 'The Cut,' though it’s not a direct continuation. The thing is, Korean horror often prioritizes storytelling over franchise potential, which I respect. Even when a movie leaves room for more, like 'The Mimic,' they rarely rush to capitalize on it. It’s refreshing, honestly.

That said, I’ve stumbled across a few indie horrors that tease sequels but never deliver, which is a shame. The market seems to favor original ideas over revisiting old ones. Maybe it’s cultural—Korean audiences appreciate self-contained narratives. Or maybe it’s just harder to replicate the success of a hit horror film.
