What Is Lu Bu'S Weapon In Dynasty Warriors 6?

The weapon of Lu Bu, the strongest man in history, in Dynasty Warriors 6 is the enormous halberd called the Sky Piercer. The Sky Piercer looks amazing, large, brutal, but classy. It’s a big and sharp long blade that will slash down anything in front of him, cutting through his enemies like butter. The large weapon size of the Sky Piercer makes the normal warriors fighting in the battlefield look tiny. Also the Skillset of the Sky Piercer is excellent, providing the big warriors’ typical large area-of-effect Sweeps as well as his powerful Charge-up attack. It looks so cool whenever Lu Bu, the biggest guy in the battlefield, uses his Musou Attack and washes over his enemies.

The Sky Piercer is a natural extension of Lu Bu’s personality – he’s not exactly the type for finesse or subtlety. While many of the other characters in Dynasty Warriors have historic or refined weapons, each with their own intricate movesets and techniques, Lu Bu’s brutal halberd stands in direct contrast. His weapon is the direct opposite of refined, with his playstyle focused purely on brute force. Playing as him can feel a little cheating at times, but it’s undeniably fun in a “seesaw” kind of way, and his Musou has to be one of the coolest looking (and playing) in the game.

This is the weapon that Lu Bu wields in Dynasty Warriors 6, the Sky Piercer. It looks really cool in DW6, unlike previous iterations, with really sharp lines and a lot of curves in the blade. The sound design of this halberd is amazing too. Every time you swing it, it sounds really heavy and metallic, and really powerful too. I have spent many hours in the DW6 fairly balanced combo creator of the game, experimenting with Lu Bu’s combinations. The halberd makes really wide sweeps, but it can also do very precise stabs.

Funny enough, my friends and I were always split on whether or not the weapon was balanced or just ridiculously overpowered. It’s slow to move, but has a ridiculous range and a ton of damage. I guess you could say the game acknowledges the legend of Lu Bu and gives him a fittingly epic weapon to cut down hordes of enemies with. The NPCs freak out when he shows up on the battlefield, which is always kind of funny to me. The Sky Piercer is more than just a weapon for Lu Bu, it’s a statement.

DW6 vs developer canonical: the Sky Piercer, halberd of chaos warred by none other than the infamous DW faction lord Lu Bu (no less), looks quite simply like a cheat code formed into a weapon. Not even remotely being conceited or snobbish about this in the least, it really does look like a cross between a mass destruction artifact, a murder device, and a sizeable wrecking ball carrying a rather long and pointed blade. Very ‘intimidating’ for players of Lu Bu, rather than your average, run-of-the-mill BW weapon.

The Sky Piercer is a weapon that mirrors Lu Bu’s part in DW6’s story: He is an unstoppable force that the factions in DW6 either fear or want to recruit, and the weapon is a really cool-looking thing that I think really conveys that. Even AI-controlled Lu Bu is a huge pain to fight, because of his awesome weapon. There’s a reason he is a character that people either totally avoid playing as/fighting, or go out of their way to gear up special for. The Sky Piercer is his halberd, and it’s really legendary. I use it for purely mindless fun in DW6.
