I could have titled this differently, but I couldn't find a web novel by this title and character. If you like novels with entangled, fated connections between characters, I highly recommend “Bound by Twisted Fate.” It’s a modern day seer who accidentally binds her soul to a ruthless underworld king and they are stuck in a partnership together. Every attempt to break the link only seems to tighten it more. The first arc of “Bound by Twisted Fate” is free to read on most of the typical serial novel platforms.

Taylor West’s stories take you on a rollercoaster of emotions and ‘Bonds That Bind Us’ was no exception to that. I downloaded this story from Apple Books as it syncs to all my devices. This beautifully written story of found family and healing really did touch my heart and I still think about the story and the main character’s journey weeks after finishing it. It’s a very emotional story so I wouldn’t recommend reading it on public transport unless you don’t mind getting tears in your eyes in coffee shops!

I picked up ‘Bonds That Bind Us’ by Taylor West the other day. It’s a really beautiful indie romance novel that I just couldn’t put down. Often independent novels are published through platforms such as Amazon Kindle or Barnes & Noble’s Nook store. Much of the work is contemporary romance and I finished reading this in a weekend as it contained so much brilliant work on exploring the human characters and their vulnerabilities and their connections with other people.

You can also find it on Audible if you have an account and prefer to listen to your books. I picked up ‘Bonds That Bind Us’ through my local library’s digital catalog (available through Libby and Hoopla). I took a chance on it first and ended up buying it later because I wanted to highlight my favorite parts. Yep, that’s me.

It’d also be great to see smaller indie platforms like Smashwords or DriveThruFiction pick up a copy of ‘Bonds That Bind Us’ – I’ve no doubt there are a number of hidden gems waiting to be unearthed on these kinds of sites. The author has a great knack for creating flawed but lovable characters, which is why I’ve purchased a signed copy of this to sit on my shelves with my other comfort reads – all with worn spines from repeated readings. I even purchased the paperback directly from the author’s own website after having finished the eBook.

We highly recommend checking out author Taylor West, especially her novel “Bonds That Bind Us”. Although it is a relatively unknown novel, it has many powerful messages. I read this on Scribd during my free trial (so worth it). Although it is a slow burn, it’s so good because it’s similar to simmering soup on a rainy day. If you’d rather read physical copies, Book Depository often has free shipping worldwide. Just be prepared to ugly cry because Taylor West writes the novel with a lot of emotional stakes.

Where can I read The Alphas Contract by Taylor West?

Be aware that webserials take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. You invest in the characters and the story, but it can be put on hold indefinitely. So far I only start stories that are marked as ‘Complete’ on the respective platform. Even then sometimes the ending is rather hastened. So before you start searching and reading ‘The Alpha’s Contract’ for hours, please verify the status of the story first. If it is an ongoing story and the last update was more than a year ago, for example, be prepared for disappointment. Even though it would be nice to have closure with our characters, the comment section can become an amusing space where readers continue the story in their own way. They come up with their own imaginative endings and this can even become more entertaining than the actual story.

Where can I read it ends with us online book for free?

I tried to download a free ebook version of a really popular novel a few years ago. It was a complete nightmare. Endless popups, “download” buttons that turned out to be ads, and then the file would be in some weird format or half-corrupted. So for a really romantic novel like this, it’s just not worth the stress of trying to find a free ebook version when you can get a borrowed copy of it for free. My two cents: if your library doesn’t have it and the waitlist is crazy long, see if they have a reciprocal agreement with a larger library system in your state. For a small fee (or even free if you’re a resident of the state) you can get a card to the big city library and they have huge digital collections with much shorter wait times for popular items. It’s kind of worth your time to look into expanding your library access to read way more free stuff than you could get off of some shady website.

If you haven't already checked it out, Radish is an app specializing in serialized romance stories, including many very popular Korean webnovels. I don't currently have this one translated on the site, but the list is continually updated with the newest titles added by creators. Typically Radish is a free read with a timer between chapters that can be read in full immediately with the purchase of coins. It’s far more solid than reading the novel on some free website peppered with ads. The translations are high quality, the formatting is great for reading on mobile, and I can browse their Second Chance Romance or Time Travel categories to see if this has been added under an alternate title.

My friend had shared a TikTok about it and in the video the creator said it was only available on the WebComics app. I’ve since downloaded it and yep, it’s all there. The app itself is pretty meh but they really want to get you to spend coins to get access to episodes faster. However, you can read the comic totally free if you’re willing to wait for the tickets to reset each day. Interestingly though, the comments section on each panel is really active and fun to read through, which sort of adds to your reading experience.

How does The Wings That Bind end?

Bureaucratic details equal aerial action in the final chapters, culminating in a chaotic storm of feathers and paperwork. Kai’s wingless fall to earth mirrors his first flight in Volume 1, as he plummets to the ground, now rather than smeared with blood, covered in piles of treaty scrolls. The final shot of children playing with kites made from the remains of old, binding contracts is heart-breaking.

The Kindle version had terrible formatting on my old Paperwhite. The web images were missing, and the custom text formatting I had done for time-skips was rendered as messy code. I had to request a refund, and even though it may have been fixed by now, it left a very bad taste in my mouth. In the meantime, reading it on Royal Road, in the browser, worked like a charm. Some stories are just web-native and work better that way, I suppose.

What is the major plot twist in ties that bind?

12 Answers2025-10-27
This is a genre twist story. It begins as a cozy, cute, sugary, breakfast-y, fantasy about a group of friends who run a tea shop as a business. They use their magical bond to make the perfect tea for every customer’s problem. But in the second half of the story, it is revealed that the problems of lingering sadness, anger and grief that the friends are solving with their tea are actually spiritual parasites, pieces of a long-dead lich’s phylactery. Each time they solve a problem with their tea, they are using their magical bond to absorb the parasite into themselves, concentrating it. The lich is not dead, it is being reconstituted by the friends and their tea shop. Their kindness, their charm, their tea and their community are being used against them and the town in which they live. The first half of the story is so charming that the horror of the second half is all the more horrible.

What is the ending of Monkey: The Journey to the West explained?

10 Answers2026-03-26
The white dragon horse. So often the horse is overlooked in retellings of Journey stories. The white dragon horse began his journey as a dragon prince who was condemned to die. He was turned into a horse and in his time as a pack animal for a Buddhist monk, Tripitaka, he traveled a long way. In the end he was transformed back into a dragon and rose to become one of the eight great naga kings. His storyline completes that of the other journey members in that all of them had gone through a period of purification to reach their goal. The white dragon horse was helped to find his purpose and achieve his true potential by his devotion to his work as a humble journey animal.

Beats me! Like I said, I stick to quality stuff that’s been published on Audible these days. It’s better quality control and I don’t have to worry about links not working or whether the author ever finishes the story. Searching for free online serials just got too crazy for me. But hey, that’s just me!

Where can I read The Road to Tender Hearts for free online?

11 Answers2026-05-04
The annoyance comes from a clash of cultures. Web novels originally were serially published for free online in the authors’ countries. As those works are now licensed to be published in the West, they are packaged as a premium app-based work and thus are at odds with the readers’ expectation of free online content that they have heard about. ‘The Road to Tender Hearts’ is an instance of this cultural and commercial disconnect. Although there is a ‘free online’ version of the work—written originally in Chinese and online in China—the English version of the work is a commercial product.
