Check out NovelFull and ScribbleHub for free web novels first. If you are searching for a more intense, steamy dynamic, then ‘Painful Pleasures(Short Steamy Collections)’ may be the thing you’re looking for. This series contains short stories and each story is a complete and satisfying read. Often, the lines between painful emotional control and intense physical desire are blurred in the relationships between the characters.

Ugh I totally get wanting to read free books when you're on a budget as a bookworm. I've heard 'Does It Hurt?' by H.D. Carlton is a dark romance that's gotten a lot of buzz lately. If you're interested in reading this but are on a tight budget, you might be able to get it through your local library's digital collection, which can be downloaded using apps such as Libby or Hoopla. I've also heard that Scribd has a free trial that you could use to download this book. As for sites that claim to offer 'free downloads' - be aware that a lot of these sites are copyright infringing and of very poor quality.

If you’re into Dark Romances, you can also read similar books for free on Wattpad or Royal Road. Darker books by authors like Anna Zaires or Pepper Winters can also be downloaded for free. You might even stumble upon some great indie books while waiting for “Does It Hurt?” to go on sale.

Ugh. 'Does It Hurt?' is everywhere. Like EVERYWHERE. I know that H.D. Carlton put her heart and soul into this book and if you can afford to buy it then please do support this author. But also libraries are the best and many systems offer interlibrary loans so even if your library doesn’t carry it, you can still read it!

If you’re looking for something similar to try then I would recommend looking into Kindle Unlimited and signing up for a free month or so to see if they have any similar titles. Authors often give away limited time freebies or discount their books for a short time too so it’s always worth checking out their social media accounts too. You can find books ethically without having to worry about your getting malware from dodgy websites.

The agony of being able to devore a book but it costing too much… For “Does It Hurt?” I’d look for library partnerships to borrow a physical copy, if they have it. Alternately, you could use a free trial to Audible and use one of your credits to listen to the title.

Pirating the book would be stealing candy from a baby author though and ruining their potential income from their work. That’s not fair. Join a book-swapping club or wait for that book you want to go on sale for your Kindle. Reading a highly anticipated book that you spent legal tender on is just so much sweeter.

Looking for ‘Does It Hurt?’ on a budget? BookBub is great for getting notifications of price drops on books like this. Many books can also be found in libraries or second-hand copies in indie bookshops very cheaply. If you wait until near holidays, prices may drop too. Good luck in finding a copy soon.

Where can I read Tempting the Mafia Twins novel read online free?

I have checked a few of my normal haunts for this and it seems Yonder have it locked down tight. The best way to read this as a legal download would be to sign up for their in-app model and purchase a daily pass to read it. All other claims to download the full novel as a cheaper option are scams. The story is very hot right now, with two possessive twin anti-heroes, so I’d recommend signing up for the app for a bargainous binge read.

Where can I read 'Under Your Scars' online?

My friend had shared a TikTok about it and in the video the creator said it was only available on the WebComics app. I’ve since downloaded it and yep, it’s all there. The app itself is pretty meh but they really want to get you to spend coins to get access to episodes faster. However, you can read the comic totally free if you’re willing to wait for the tickets to reset each day. Interestingly though, the comments section on each panel is really active and fun to read through, which sort of adds to your reading experience.

Where can I read 'Cry Even Better If You Beg' for free?

This tension in the economics of webcomics is fascinating. People want to read webcomics for free immediately, and for good reason, but creators have to eat. The freemium model of daily passes is how the industry has managed to deal with this so far. Right now ‘Cry Even Better If You Beg’ is free to read, Episode 1 is available for free on the webcomic’s official website. Tomorrow, Episode 2 will likely be available as well. The fast-paced serialization of a dramatic webcomic is actually enhanced by the free nature of the initial chapters, as the climaxes hit much harder when there is time to ponder them over the course of a day or two, and discussion with your fellow readers online can create anticipation that simply is not present when reading pirated, bledted PDFs of the work for instant gratification. If you are unable to wait that long then you can subscribe to read the next episode immediately, for a price. But calling this ‘buying the ability to binge read’ makes this clear choice between waiting and paying look like a barrier rather than what it is.

Can I read Game of Thrones novels online story reading free legally?

Of course, there’s a lot of fun in comparing book to show. But unlike the very faithful first season of television, there are large and soon increasing deviations from the original text as the season goes on. To do this sort of comparison, you’d really need to read the whole, unedited text – something that a free sample would not be able to give you past the introductory setup. The free sample is like the pilot episode of a show. If you like the pilot, you can then subscribe to the channel to watch the rest of the episodes. There is no way to stream an entire TV show for free on its official network (unless you have a subscription). Bookstores work in much the same way as TV networks – the free sample is your free trial, and then you go to the library or buy the book as a subscriber.

Where can I read Inked online for free?

3 Answers2026-01-16
Honestly free reads are kind of tempting, but then again, it’s not very ethical. For “Inked” I’d Google the title of the book + “official free chapters” because sometimes publishers will give the first volume of a series away for free to get readers hooked or something. For web comics, check the author’s Tumblr or their Patreon if they have one because sometimes they’ll post free snippets of their work. Indies cost money and sometimes I feel bad because I know that so much work went into it. But sadly, that’s how they get paid. I hope you find what you’re looking for without having to resort to some sketchy pop-up ad and that you find it and it be good! Many libraries have free comics for checkout as well as surprise gems in publisher newsletters. Good luck!

Where can I read 'Unscentable' for free online?

12 Answers2025-06-13
My main contribution for this will be short (for now): sometimes you have to just let it go. The mental energy to search for something to entertain you could be better spent reading another easily available piece of entertainment. It's a form of the sunk cost fallacy when it comes to reading. I’ve wasted hours searching for something, found it eventually, and was too tired or grumpy to actually enjoy it by then. Set a timer for 30 minutes and use your best methods to search for the book. If after 30 minutes you haven’t found a free, legal copy then close all your search tabs and open Royal Road or your library’s app. Start reading the top-rated book on the list. You’ll probably be happy you did. The specific craving you had for Unscentable will have dissipated in no time.

Where can I read 'Cry or Better Yet Beg' online?

This is a wonderful novel and it’s been a real rollercoaster of emotions for me. I actually found it by chance after seeing a short edit of it on TikTok and managed to track down a MTL (machine translated) version of it from a website that does them. The grammar was atrocious, but the hook of the plot was enough to keep me interested and continue reading it. Later on, I found a much better, fully translated version of it from a Reddit thread in the r/OtomeIsekai sub, which is an amazing resource for questions like these. Lots of people post links where they read ongoing series in that sub, so if you search for the title of something you’re looking for, there’s probably going to be a recent post with a working link to current chapters. The community is also pretty good about updating links when a source changes.

Where can I read 'Ward D' online for free?

9 Answers2025-06-19
This psychological tension in 'Ward D' is really impressive, and deserves to be supported. I bought the ebook after reading a sample – the first few chapters pull you in a hundred percent, I was hooked. The sample is actually one of the best marketing tools sometimes. Most books, including mine, have a sample that you can read for free on Amazon or Google Play in most countries. It’s usually the first couple of chapters. If you’re not hooked within that then you’ve saved yourself a lot of time and money. And if you are hooked, then you’re more likely to either buy the book immediately or place a hold on it at your local library. So it’s a great way to test drive a book for free.

The Google Play Books store contains a huge amount of self-published works. Many of the Indie books are listed, and you can even read a free sample before you buy to get a feel for how good the writing and translation are. The Google Play Books app is also pretty good for reading on the go.

Where can I read The Bonus online for free?

4 Answers2026-01-02
So, I am a totally above board and respectable person, and the quickest way for you to get 'The Bonus' free is for you to go to your local library, download the app for your library, such as Libby/OverDrive, and borrow it as a free audiobook download. Yep, I confirmed that it is listed in library systems for audiobook borrowing, so go get it! Okay, if you are willing to go for a short-term ‘trick’ to get an audible audiobook, then the free trial for Audible can get you the audiobook title you want for free too (and then you just have to remember to cancel before they charge you for another month). Author’s sites and publisher’s websites also typically list out excerpts from books and also let you know which editions of a book include ‘bonus’ scenes too. I personally found borrowing the audiobook through my library app to be super easy and guilt-free, so that is my first recommendation to you!
