It’s still being updated, and I think it’s updating a few times a week, so you can check how many chapters there are currently on the app you’re reading it on. Reborn-for-revenge is my favorite theme, and right now I’m reading Reborn to love the ruthless billionaire. The early chapters are really good, the story is really intense. The protagonist is trying to win over the cold-hearted heir of the family that ruined her. It’s a really good cat-and-mouse game, and it has a really satisfying climb-to-power energy.

Just a heads up from my end that the original Chinese novel of Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family has completed its serialization. The English translation and also the comic adaptation are still currently incomplete and also delayed. Some parts of the story may only be available to readers through fan translations and even then, the fan translations may not be up to date. Readers may also have to refer to the official translations and also the adapted manhua as well. If you really want to complete read the story and get closure to the plot, then look up the original completed version of the novel or also a fully up-to-date translation of it. Knowing that there is an end to the story really made a difference for me and that was that I could then go back and re-read the start of the novel and it would feel like therapy instead of me just waiting in suspense.

The original Chinese web novel “Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family” is a completed serial, meaning the author completed the story for the original run of the serial. The confusion that may arise in this regard is that the novel being completed does not necessarily mean that the translations of the novel are completed for all languages.

If you are reading Reborn as the Genius Son of a Rich Family in English then your experience is likely to vary. Official translations are usually released slowly by the licensor and can be months apart between each volume. Fan translations on the other hand are all over the place – some translation groups are going to try and rush to keep up while others will stall for months or even cease translation altogether. Additionally there are comic and manhua adaptations currently ongoing of RMF which can take vast liberties with the story in order to complete the comic in time – including cutting out or re-arranging entire scenes. To see the current status of RMF’s translation you can check out the novel’s original platform for a ‘completed’ or ‘完结’ stamp and then look up NovelUpdates or check out the most active translation group’s blog regularly.

The novel is completed as a source, but the experience of finishing reading the novel in translation is extremely variable. While the novel itself is completed, translations may be published slowly in a licensed translation, while fan translations are published erratically and often incompletely. Even completed novel can be released as an ongoing comic or manhua adaptation that omits, rearranges, and even expands upon parts of the novel. Your best bet for checking the status of a novel currently is to check the status on the original platform where it was published (e.g. ‘completed’ or ‘完结’). You can then cross-reference on NovelUpdates or on the active translation team’s website. If you want to read the novel complete in translation without waiting for the final parts to be translated, I highly recommend searching out a complete and faithful translation of the novel originally published as a book.

A very common question – yes, the main Chinese novel ‘Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family’ has been completed by its author. This means the story had reached its conclusion and there was no abandoning of it in the middle.

Here are a few caveats, though: even if a novel is completed in Chinese, it does not necessarily mean it has been completed in every language. This also means that even in English, the official release of a novel may be late compared to the fan translation. As for manhua/manga adaptations, it is also worth noting that they may branch off in ways that are not present in the novel, or be late in their adaptation of the ending. If you are worried about whether or not a translation is finished, you can usually check for translator’s notes or for an announcement by the official license holder, and many novels (especially completed ones) will simply be labeled as “completed” on the platform where they were originally published. I followed a translation team for a long time, and then switched to the completed Chinese text because it was faster and less of a guessing game than waiting for updates on a translation that seemed to be stalled for months. It felt good to finally put down a book that I had been lugging around for months.

I follow the fan wiki on the latest chapter of a story, and it is always up to date. The ‘Recent Plot’ section is constantly changing, and the ‘Character Status’ section is also regularly updated. With a completed story’s wiki, there is eventually nothing more to add. The fact that this wiki is still actively being updated tells you that the story is still on going and is being closely followed by a dedicated group of fans who are analyzing every detail of the story as it is released.

Is Awakening Love: Reborn to Be His Duchess a completed novel?

7 Answers2026-05-29
Yes, and its structure benefits from being complete. The book is very long, but it’s been divided into what amounts to volumes of a novel — Volume 1: The Rebirth and the Bargain, Volume 2: The Duchess’s Trials, Volume 3: The Shadow War, etc. And each of those volumes has its own climax and then you go on to the next arc of the story. The structure of a long story like that is impressive, and reads well as a complete novel. It’s almost like a TV show, and you can see the natural ‘season’ breaks in the completed novel. The segmented structure makes sense, and serves to make the overall pacing of the long novel manageable and well-paced. It would not have read as well as a week-by-week serial.

Is 'Swordmaster's Youngest Son' a completed novel?

7 Answers2025-06-27
Nope! I just caught up with this last month and the last chapter read like a cliffhanger to me, not an ending. There are so many mysteries about the swordmasters and the history of the continent that have yet to be revealed. Typically, completed novels will resolve the main plot points of the novel and even tie up most of the loose ends. This novel is introducing new plot points and mysteries instead. My reading app still says “Ongoing” and the author is uploading more frequently than I can finish in one day. I assume the author will keep churning out more of this power-fantasy novel because it’s obviously very popular with his audience. (Side note: The fight scenes are beautifully choreographed.) Note to self: Update my mental status of this novel to “In-Progress”.

Is 'Trash of the Count's Family' completed or ongoing?

As you can probably tell, Ongoing is an ongoing series. Right now, we’ve had over 800 chapters in Korean and in the 700s in English. As for just how long that is, well, it’s longer than most of the classic fantasy series out there. The depth of the world is incredible, too. For example, you could probably write a pretty lengthy essay detailing the economic policies currently in place in the Henituse county. Or there’s the matter of the ancient gods and their current place in the world. As an ongoing series, readers have plenty of space to delve into the various ‘rabbit holes’ of interest created within the series. And, in the meantime, they can discuss their opinions on what’s transpired so far in relation to the ongoing story. We hope you enjoy it.

Is 'A Transmigrator’s Privilege' a completed novel?

I’m waiting for an audio book version of this to be released in English. Apparently, there is a full Korean audio book version out now. No doubt the English publisher will commission a translation and a reading of this once the text version has been completed. I only read on my commute, so everything I read is in audio book form. I check Audible and the other major audio book platforms from time to time to see if this has been released yet. It hasn’t. A very fun story to be read well by a good narrator in audio book format, so fingers crossed that it will get a full English audio book version.

Is 'That Prince Is a Girl' a completed novel or still ongoing?

10 Answers2025-06-14
Yes, this is a completed novel. As described in Novel Updates, this is also how Novel China and Light Novel database track Chinese web novels. It’s completed with a full chapter count and there are no current updates to the main story. Any current activity may be to translate the novel into other languages or to make an audiobook, etc. So, new readers can rest assured that there is a finish line to read for. One advantage to readers is the ability to assess pacing and character development in a single sitting, as this type of novel is typically read in serial installments. The complete novel is a closed loop that’s particularly satisfying for a story like this that focuses so intently on the characters’ identities and personal growth.

How does 'Surviving as a Genius on Borrowed Time' end?

Someone should write up the visual symbolism of the final chapter of our story here. Rather than recapping the plot, one could focus on how the artist handled the ‘loss of genius’ to our protagonist. As his memories fade, the artwork surrounding him shifts in subtle but telling ways. Lines that were once excessively detailed and hard to the point of being almost grotesque, now are ‘softened.’ Panals that once were overcrowded with hyper-clarity and minute detail to the point of being almost cartoonish are now less crowded. And instead of the technical diagrams for building, he’s shown in simple environments with a focus on the human in front of him. The expression in his eyes, which were always excessively focused in an unnatural way, are now simply tired but peaceful. All of this to say that the ending is good. The artwork sells the moment as being quietly melancholy but hopeful.

Where to read Reborn as the Heavenly Demon online?

I recommend you checking out Moon+ Reader (a really cool app to read books/ebooks/poetry). It’s not a source of books/ebooks, but I found it to be one of the best readers around. If you can download an ebook (in EPUB format) from any website then Moon+ Reader is definitely the way to go to customize your reading experience to the fullest extent (fonts, margins, backgrounds, scrolling modes and many more options). My approach to reading webnovels is to download them as text files. Then I use Calibre to convert them to EPUB which I can then read using Moon+ Reader. I do have to find a stable source of the text for the novel first but after that it is all sweet reading. I have a perfect library of novels that I can read to my hearts content without any ads, waiting for pages to load, or any other restrictions that the app may place upon me. I own the files. All of these methods require finding a stable source for the raw text first. If you’re serious about binge reading, creating your own digital library of goodness is worth the effort.

Who wrote 'Dumped by my ex, then I married the richest man'?

3 Answers2026-05-14
I'm pretty sure this was a repost of the original work, buried under a ton of others. I had read this somewhere in a very questionable translation site a couple of years or so back, but the writer hadn't been credited. Although the story was riddled with familiar tropes of a cold CEO male lead and an ex-boyfriend who turned up at the worst possible time begging the FL to come back to him, there was one phrase that stood out as being very similar to that of another story. The story in question was a 2016 Wattpad romance called 'His Revenge Marriage' and the phrase was that of the 'diamond-encrusted wedding bands'. Most of the Billionaire stories read like a blur to me; but I will say that this scene is Pretty Typical for a certain brand of story (the FL spills wine on the ML’s shirt, for example). And yet, I can get engaged with even literary junk food like this for a certain amount of time.

Is 'The Regressed Mercenary’s Machinations' a completed novel?

8 Answers2025-06-09
My brief summary of the economic world-building in order to set up the rest of the post: this is a very economic-centered, mercenary-focused novel. That means that the first major moves that the mercenary in the story makes are to secure trade routes and then toManipulate commodity prices. I wrote about how this works in medieval terms here, but the basic gist is that the mercenary in this novel is incredibly smart about using his martial skills to then make lots of money. Which is just really impressive. Right now the English translation of this is still a work in progress, but very active, and so I can report on the comments on the official translation platform for this. (Once it is “done” the comments will, in a sense, fossilize). It’s a really weird, quirky little niche appeal that will only work for people who are into certain kinds of stories, but if it does work for you, you will be completely, rabidly obsessed. I know I am. Right now, reading this is still kind of a live experience, in which I can read along with a crowd of other translators and commenters of the in-progress translation.

Does Awakening Love: Reborn to Be His Duchess have a happy ending?

9 Answers2026-05-29
I read this for the strategic gameplay, not so much for the romance. It was amazing to see the FL play 4D chess with the court in the end using her future knowledge. The happy ending for the romance was more of a side quest and ended well in the end. The Duke protects the FL in all ways and is extremely affectionate with her. Any misunderstandings of the past are cleared up 100% in this story, and it is a true happily ever after.
