Are There Any Spin Offs To Include In A Complete Love And Gelato Reading Order
As a huge fan of the Italy romance setting, I adore the whole series but get tangled in the order. Are there holiday novellas, side character stories, or bonus epilogues beyond the main three books? Love seeing Lina's journey expand.

The audiobook is fantastic for a 'reread'. It feels different enough to be a new experience, especially with the Italian pronunciations and ambient sounds.

I'd treat Jenna Evans Welch's bibliography as a collection. Read them all, but don't worry about sequence. Each book is a postcard from a different beautiful place.

Why do we always want spin-offs? Some stories are perfect as they are. Lina's adventure in Italy feels complete; let her have her happily ever after without dragging it out.

I see people asking this a lot. It's interesting how a standalone novel can make readers want more so badly. A testament to how charming the world is.

Honestly, I just come back to the book when I need a comfort read. The lack of spin-offs means it stays special and doesn't get diluted by mediocre follow-ups.

"You were promised to me, Alessia, not even death can change that."
Alessia Capone was born a mafia princess, powerful last name, perfect future and zero control.
At just fourteen, her parents sold her into a blood-soaked engagement with Rino Lombardi, the cold, dangerous heir of Italy’s most feared criminal empire.
He was obsessed from the moment he saw her.
She hated him before he even spoke.
To escape that fate, she ran straight into the arms of another man. A man who turned out to be worse than her worst nightmare.
Now, decades later, Rino Lombardi is back.
Widowed. Ruthless. More powerful than ever.
And still maddeningly obsessed with the one woman who got away.
He made a vow to himself.
If he can’t have her willingly, he’ll burn the world until she begs to come home.
But Alessia is no longer the young girl he once knew. She’s a queen in her own right. She’ll never kneel, never submit, not even to the devil she once escaped.
...Or will she?
Because the man she swore to hate may be the only one she’s ever truly belonged to.
And this time, he’s not asking.

Luciano
Everyone thought my wife was dead, but I never stopped searching for her. When I finally found her, the timid young woman I forced to marry me was all gone. In her place was a fiercely independent woman who hated my guts.
I might have deserved it.
But did it stop me from dragging her, her secret child and her best friend back to New York City with me?
Absolutely not.
My wife belonged with me and it was time I proved it to her.

Life on the run had some benefits. Your mobster husband could no longer use you. Nor could your rotten family who wanted you dead.
Instead, I was living my best life ever in a tiny Sicilian village with my son and best friend.
Until we were found.
My husband dragged us all back, but this time I was determined to fight him. I wouldn’t fall for his charms and hot kisses again because I had so much more to lose this time around.
If only my heart would get on board with my plans.
Lucia Moretti was born into the mafia world—where daughters are traded like contracts and love is considered a weakness.
She spent her life obeying the rules… until one reckless night in a Manhattan nightclub changes everything.
A dangerously handsome stranger kisses her like he already owns her.
Cold eyes. Sinful smile. Deadly aura.
Lucia knows she should run from him.
But she can’t.
What she doesn’t know is that the mysterious man is Alessio Romano—the ruthless future head of New York’s most feared mafia family… and her sister’s fiancé.
Days before the wedding, Lucia’s pregnant sister disappears, threatening to destroy a billion-dollar alliance between two powerful mafia empires. To prevent a bloody war, Lucia is forced to take her sister’s place and marry the man she can’t stop thinking about.
Now trapped in a marriage built on secrets, lies, and dangerous attraction, Lucia is pulled deeper into Alessio’s dark world.
A world filled with betrayal.
Violence.
Deadly enemies.
And a husband so possessive he would burn cities to protect what belongs to him.
But the closer Lucia gets to Alessio, the more she realizes there’s something far more dangerous than the mafia itself—
Falling in love with a man capable of destroying her.
They say love is unpredictable—an unstoppable force that no one truly escapes. Some run toward it. Others run from it. Ted Allen belongs to the latter. A mafia heir like his father, Ted feared love more than bullets. It was messy. Dangerous. Uncontrollable. Just like everything he’s sworn to keep out of his life.
But fate has other plans.
When his kidnapped niece—his tiny mirror image—escapes her captors, she’s found by two strangers with pasts cloaked in secrets. One of them, Cookie Carlisle, a spirited runaway hiding in Italy from her twisted father, helps the child find her way home. That single act of kindness sets off a chain reaction neither of them could foresee.
Because Cookie is about to find herself dragged into a war she knows nothing about… and Ted is about to meet the one woman who shatters every rule he’s built his empire on.
She’s wild. Fearless. Addictive.
And she’s not stopping until he’s hers.

“I really doubt you’ll last long here,” River said.
“Trust me. I won’t die yet.”
Not until the big bad wolf with my name on his soul gets what’s coming to him. He hasn’t seen the last of me.
I lent 'Love & Gelato' to my cousin, and she loved it so much she immediately bought 'Love & Olives', thinking it was the next one. She was so confused when Addie wasn't the main character! She had to go back and get 'Love & Luck'. So from a practical, avoid-confusion standpoint, tell your friends the right order. It saves them a headache. The titles don't make the relationships obvious.
Is there even an official word on this? Last I checked, the author has given conflicting answers in interviews. Sometimes they say publication order, sometimes they suggest chronological for the full backstory experience. The publisher's website lists them by release date, but that was before the digital shorts were compiled.
I think the fandom has collectively decided on a hybrid order. Most wiki guides now suggest: Main Trilogy > Hunter's Gambit > Red Sector Duology > Origins: Prague > Gray Winter collection. The audio dramas and graphic novel are listed as supplemental. Until the author or publisher releases a definitive timeline, that hybrid order seems to be the accepted 'complete' sequence among serious fans.
It's book #1. The series isn't a continuous narrative, so the 'order' is mostly about publication sequence and catching Easter eggs. For instance, in 'Love and Luck', the main character mentions following a blog about Italy—that's a nod to Lina's blog from the first book. Tiny things like that make reading in order a slightly more connected experience.
Can we talk about the covers for a sec? The redesigns for the paperback editions are gorgeous and clearly meant to be seen as a set. When you line them up in publication order, the spines create a lovely gradient or a cohesive visual. That's a silent nudge from the publisher about the intended order.
It's a cosmetic detail, but book design often reinforces reading order. In this case, the visual series order is the publication order.
Wait, are these all by Jenna Evans Welch? I think I saw them at the bookstore but never picked one up. The covers are so pretty with the illustrated travel scenes. Are they more romance or more coming-of-age? Might need to add them to my library list.
