During the freshman orientation, Fletcher Stone, the campus heartthrob, leads a protest in front of the orientation leader, Lindsey Quinn. As a result, Lindsey decides to make everyone run laps around the field. While Fletcher has volunteered to run everyone's laps on his own, the truth is, he has transferred the fatigue to me. Make sure you cook fish." I woke in terror. Holding my daughter, I sat before the three framed portraits for two full days without eating or drinking. On New Year's morning, I realized she was no longer breathing. Clutched tightly in her hand was a packet of spicy dried salmon. I could not believe it. When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day my mother, her eyes red with worry, said she was going out to buy steak.

It was a zombie apocalypse. The story revolves around a ruthless mafioso who finds a woman buried on the ground as a sacrificial bride to the woman's townfolk's cult. He finds himself drawn to her and claims her from the grave just before she died and was instead wedded to him. Althea's fate was sealed when she became the mafioso's corpse bride. She was like a lifeless flower in a sea of blood and wrath. Men have been fawning over her ever since she remembered, and it was revealed that she was an actual human cursed by her own mother after the man who impregnated her left her to rot. She was like a human succubus, drawing men to her until they became crazy enough to kill her. And every time Althea is killed, a new Althea comes to life as though, the curse goes on and on. It is revealed later on that throughout the world, there have been more than thousands of Altheas enough to dominate the world in secret. At the end of the story, the mafioso due to the curse would kill his wife, only to be killed as well by another Althea who had been watching on the sidelines all this time. She goes back to visit her mother who had been brought to the mental asylum only to laugh hysterical at the term, 'monster'.

"You'll never change, huh? If Roger's hand is ruined because of you and he can't play the piano anymore, I'd rather see you dead in this hospital bed." Obediently, I walked toward the window and jumped. The harsh, sharp-tongued woman who had always been my mother—and Casey as well—went completely pale with fear. I happened to crash onto my father's car. Trembling, he threw open the door and shouted for the medical staff. My consciousness gradually faded. Then, a system suddenly appeared and said, "Congratulations, Host. You have completed ninety-nine tragic storylines. Finish this final one, and you will be able to return to your original world and revive your younger sister."
