It’s clear that Pretty Little Liars wanted to keep viewers on edge in Season 1 and the death of a major character would have been opposed to the rest of the season. In the case of Toby, the show kept the possibility of his death alive throughout the season but ultimately decided not to kill him off. At first, he was portrayed as somewhat dark and even possibly ‘A’ but once the viewers got to see more of his character they saw that he was just a vulnerable teen dealing with some rather rough situations such as being manipulated by Jenna and dealing with an often distant family.

I actually enjoy how the fan base perceived Toby too. So many ppl believed that he could have been “A” or involved with the character. Then on the other hand so many ppl passionately defended him and the show did a wonderful job of portraying Toby as an ambiguous character. Toby’s fate in season 1 could have been so much easier to solve if he died but instead he lived and had even more amazing storylines in the future such as his relationship with Spencer and his days at Radley.

Season 1 of Pretty Little Liars was a total rollercoaster for me, but for reasons that had nothing to do with the Liars. No, my heart was torn because of Toby Cavanaugh and his storyline throughout the season. As it was revealed at the end of the season, Toby Cavanaugh does not die in Season 1. When we first meet Toby in Season 1, he is a broody and mysterious dude with alot of baggage from his past, namely Jenna. As the season progresses and secrets are revealed about the different characters of Maya minds, we realize that Toby is NOT the vile and sinister person that he was made out to be by Maya’s blinded perceptions and her VERY incorrect assumptions about him regarding Jenna.

One minute you’re convinced that Toby is up to no good and the next you’re a big ol’ bowl of sympathy for the poor guy. That scene where Spencer finds Toby’s “Dunhill” lighter was also another example of how misdirection is used in the show. Throughout the season, the writers use red herrings to keep the audience guessing, and in this case, it worked. Honestly, Toby’s character would have been way more interesting if he were killed off instead of being left for dead in Season 1. But instead, he comes back in Season 2 to become an even larger part of the show.

Toby lived through Season 1! The show laid out so much tension with him – suspicious, threatening, etc. – but in the end he was one of the main characters and he had so much more to give in future episodes. He was a ‘troubled’ character, but rather than offing him in a shocking scene mid-season, the show chose to explore his past, his relationships with the others, in particular his affection for Spencer, and developed his character richly. That was really great to see.

The official record of character deaths is Maya St. Germain, who died in the Ravenswood lodge fire and was discovered in Season 5, Episode 1. The fan reaction to this was to recognize it as another case of the ‘Bury Your Gays’ trope, where the lesbian character of Maya is killed off in order to further the plot of straight-presenting character Alison. The showrunner claimed that the scene was meant to raise the stakes for the characters, but it mostly left a bad taste in the mouths of fans. It was also somewhat regressive. First there was the death of Emily’s first serious girlfriend, and then in her subsequent major relationship with Paige, things are far from idyllic. The pattern of EMITS showing queer people experiencing great turmoil or tragedy in their lives while same sex happiness is prevented was frustrating for many. Maya’s death in particular is how this story has generally been remembered by fans, making it a somewhat more complex and polarizing plot point than the death of just another character.

what episode does toji die

I'm pretty sure this is episode 23, “Cursed Womb, Part 2”. His death is indelibly printed in the memories of a lot of fans because of how inevitable it was once he gave himself to the curse spirit in order to fight against Megumi. The whole episode just follows out that inevitability to its gruesome conclusion. No last-minute save for him here. The whole thing follows causality and the tragedy is inescapable. What's more powerful is the fact that it’s true to the characters and to the world that Jujutsu Kaisen takes place in. The outcome is in no way a ‘twist’. The way it’s conveyed by all the stunning effects, combined with the raw emotions felt by the characters and viewer alike is, in my opinion, one of the highlights of the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Who dies in 'We Were Liars' and why?

For me, the true horror of the event lay not in the deaths of Mirren, Johnny and Gat themselves, but in the way that Cadence was left to grieve for people she believed to be merely deceased and who she came to realize were actually killed by her own hand. The enabling of her amnesia by her family, as they together maintained the fiction of an accident, allowed her to be isolated and uncertain. And even when her memories came back to her, and she finally realized the terrible truth of what she had done, she was left alone with the reason for it – in a family of great silence, where even the discussion of such horrors would have been out of bounds. The tragedy is compounded by the consequent layers of denial and complicity.

Is madara tobi the same person as Obito?

Kakashi's Kamui ability was one of the biggest pieces of evidence for the ‘obvious’ plot twist. Sharingan abilities are unique to the individual, and for two characters to possess the exact same spatially-based Mangekyo Sharingan power was a huge flag. The fact that ‘Tobi’ possessed the same power but perfected it was screaming at us from the moment Kakashi used Kamui. Yes, this was a mechanical clue as well as a visual clue. The ability of a Sharingan is unique. So two characters having the same spatially-based Mangekyo Sharingan ability would be a huge clue. And in this case the story was actually telling us that these two characters were connected through their eyes. Their eyes had once been a pair.

Does tyler die in vampire diaries

You can find out the answer to this question by watching the whole series, but that would take about 8 seasons to watch. I don’t have that kind of time. The answer to this question is yes, Alaric Saltzman dies in Season 8 of The Vampire Diaries. But to really understand Alaric’s death, you have to understand his whole journey throughout the series. His relationship with Caroline Forbes, his fight with Klaus, his attempt to be a good leader to the werewolves, and his never-ending struggle to have control of his life are all things that need to be explored in order to fully understand the end of Alaric Saltzman. His death is just the period at the end of a very long, messy sentence.

Where can I read the Ticci Toby story online?

For starters, Ticci Toby’s story is a lot like a campfire tale. Most people tell it a bit differently. So, I went to YouTube first. I found a decent amount of information on the story, especially when it comes to the lore behind the creepypasta. Channels like Lazy Masquerade are very good at explaining certain stories in great detail. I also found a good eBook called ‘Creepypasta: A Horror Anthology’ that contains Toby’s story as well as many other classic creepypastas. For people who are curious about how the story was originally told on the web, there is even a site called Wayback Machine that has old versions of Geocities-style websites where the story first started to spread.

Who dies in 'Verity'?

This book has spoilers all over TikTok right now. I was trying to avoid reading too much about it before I finished it, but I managed to avoid finding out the big twist only because I read the book first. For those who don't know: Jeremy shoots Verity. The book implies that the author's wife, who has been in a coma for most of the book, may be faking. In reality, it's the manuscript that the author's wife wrote that portrays her as a monster. The protagonist, Lowen, found this manuscript and it reveals Verity to be a very manipulative person. This is where the book’s real psychological horror resides and it’s a massive gut-punch – we read a letter written by Verity to Jeremy at the end of the book and it completely turns the manuscript that Lowen read earlier on its head. So, instead of being able to confidentally say that Verity was the true monster of the story, we’re left unsure and to question everything that we just read. The death is simply the period at the end of a twisted sentence.

This question took me down a bit of a rabbit hole. I had completely forgotten about the family FGTeeV. Their current videos are clearly made by much taller kids than they were when I first saw them. It’s sort of cool to look back at a time capsule every now and then. Channels and their creators grow while people get older. Interests change but there is an alternative to staying the same forever: stagnation. I am happy that they are able to continue in a form that is authentic and interesting to them rather than forcing to adhere to a formula from years ago.

Who dies in 'The Outsiders' and why?

The sudden death of Dally after the slow unfolding of tragedy with Johnny is a narrative shock. The long period of expectation before Johnny’s death is sharply contrasted with the rapid and violent shock of Dally’s death. The reason for this is twofold. First, the story is trying to drive home the point that in their world nothing can be expected and that loss can occur at any time. Secondly, the two deaths are of two different types. One was expected by the reader and was therefore agonizing. The other was sudden and traumatic and follows Ponyboy’s anticipation of loss with two huge blows in rapid succession. This is what makes so devastating the end of The Outsiders and the subsequent collapse of Ponyboy in the aftermath of the deaths of his two close friends.

How does 'One of Us Is Lying' end?

I also appreciated that romance was not the central point of closure for Bronwyn and Nate. After everything they went through, it felt realistic that their ultimate commitment to each other would not be some grand declaration. The closure with Cooper and Kris was also very positive. And Addy is still happily single and focused on herself. It was really great to read a story where the central relationship was that of four best friends and survivors, and not that of some endgame couple. The final scene was of all four of them, and not some two of them separated off from the others. That says a lot about the priorities of the story.
