'Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust' was a very striking anime. It combined Gothic Horror with fast-paced, kinetic animation, setting a new benchmark for the genre. So I watched 'Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust' again and it is just so amazing. It's one of those masterpieces that really does show why anime is so special. 'Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust' is a 2000 film and it was so far ahead of its time for its incredible visuals and dark storyline. The artwork in 'Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust' is so Gothic sci-fi and really creates a unique atmosphere that is both timeless and very fresh. You can definitely see how it has inspired a lot of other works, such as 'Castlevania' and 'Attack on Titan', especially how they blend horror with really deep characters.

When I think back on old anime, 'Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust' is one of the titles that instantly comes to mind. It had amazing visuals, with each frame being a masterpiece of art in itself. It was a really unique mix of horror and fantasy that was miles ahead of its time. The many vampire stories that have followed, such as those with protagonists who are vampires struggling with their nature (Tokyo Ghoul, Paranoia Agent, etc.), all owe a debt to D's dark and moody world. Other creators must have been inspired by his somber character and that of the film to go on and create some of the best anime ever in darker and more complex storylines where the characters aren't simply heroes or villains. Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust not only had innovative hand-drawn animation but also unique and creative character and background designs that fully brought to life the mood of the film. All of the scenery and characters were brought to life in such fine detail in order to create a unique world of its own. It’s obvious that D’s character design was an inspiration to many of the upcoming anime characters especially those that are part of dark story lines.
