Power radiated off him in waves, suffocating and unyielding. The man stammered. “Beta, I—” Elijah didn’t answer. Didn’t blink. Didn’t move. Then, in a blur— He struck. It happened so fast, I barely saw it. But with just a single punch. One goddamn punch against the man's chest. It sent him flying into the air. He landed against a large tree. But Elijah wasn’t done. Before the bastard could recover. Elijah grabbed him by the collar. And threw him against another tree.

the silver-toothed one shouts, charging at him. But Mr. Chane moves faster. He dodges his punch and kicks him hard in the back. The man falls flat. Mr. Chane grabs him and starts punching his face again and again. “Don’t—” Punch! “Ever—” Punch! “Touch a woman—” Punch! “Forcefully—” Punch! “Without her consent!” Punch! The man collapses, his head lolling to the side of the road, but he's not dead. He attempts to keep his bloodied eyes open, but fails as he continues to spit out blood. Mr. Chane pushes him aside.

It was a powerful punch. Being punched in the face during a fight was one thing. However, as a man, being punched by a woman was extremely embarrassing. The young man’s face was red with embarrassment and anger. He punched her back fiercely. Ruth had predicted his move. However, she still appeared laid-back. She easily caught his fist and subjugated him with a backhanded grab. The referee announced that exactly five moves had been made, and Piers had passed this round.
