Rite of Power

Rite of Power

YOU TOOK HIM INTO THE AETHER! “Ouch, that’s my head you’re yelling in,” Sophie complained. “I didn’t mean to, it just sort of happened and he didn’t have a crown there.” I grumbled, feeling like a child getting scolded for accidently breaking a dish. ‘When you go to the Aether, you can absorb some of the energy there. What do you think happens when you take a mortal soul there who has access to your essence?’ Bo grumbled at us.

His face was a mirror, reflecting the devastation of the city around them. "I can get you there," Julian’s voice resonated, though his form was visibly thinning. "But I cannot go with you. I am a creature of the 'Ground.' The Aether is pure data—pure spirit. To enter it, you must leave the biology behind." "Explain," Alexander demanded, moving to Elena’s side, his hand gripping her shoulder as if to keep her from floating away.

Alpha Xander

Alpha Xander

A deep grunt escaped my throat at the thought that she was also going to find out that I was her mate and would also perceive my scent. shit! I hissed and clenched my fist, bracing myself to reject her immediately; I wasn't worried about the pain because I was also planning to kill her. My name is Xander, the heir to the Red Moon Pack. Being the son of Alpha Xavier, I had to be more cruel than him, giving no space for romantic feelings, which do nothing other than make someone weak and act stupidly. Lena's POV.

The Pretty Prince and the Beast King

The Pretty Prince and the Beast King

"They aren't even looking at us." "They aren't real, Kaelor. They’re loops. Pre-recorded ghosts." Aradaa pressed his palm against a nearby terminal. The screen flickered, then died in a hiss of violet sparks. His static aura had curdled into something denser—a void-field that swallowed data whole. "The Aether is trying to get in my head. It feels like... like needles made of ice." "Hold it together, Scholar. We’re close. I can smell the ozone and... baby powder?" Kaelor kicked open a pair of massive, translucent doors.

Lily’s Realms: Secrets of Magic and Destiny

Lily’s Realms: Secrets of Magic and Destiny

The guards shifted nervously. Luke’s jaw tightened. “Answer the question.” The gray eyes returned to Lily. “I am what remains when heaven and hell exhaust themselves.” Silence stretched. The city beyond the courtyard held its breath. “You may call me Aether,” the figure finally said. Not a name. A designation. A function. The word struck something deep inside her chest. Aether. The space between. The unseen medium through which light traveled. Not light itself. Not darkness. The field that allowed both to exist.

Court Of Sins And Twilight

Court Of Sins And Twilight

Keren Michaeldarkness feeling
She hadn’t been mingling with us much lately, probably avoiding me and Edina both—for different reasons. “Hey,” she said suddenly, eyes flicking to Caelora. “I found what you were looking for.” Caelora’s entire posture straightened. “You did? Where?” Lira produced a leather-bound book from behind her back, worn and ancient, its edges gilded in silver. “It’s called The Aether Bond.” That name made my chest go tight. I stepped closer without even thinking. “What is that?” “It’s… a theory,” Caelora said, taking the book like it was holy. She flipped through the pages with careful fingers, scanning the faded script. “It explains how an Aether-bearer can deepen their bond with the source magic. M

Who's The Loser Heir?

Who's The Loser Heir?

"The 'Townsville Bridge.' A very creative, albeit primitive, solution to a digital problem. I must say, the use of manual-drive vehicles and analog radios was a nostalgic touch. It reminded me of the world before the Aether—a world of friction, of delay, of… losers." "Silas," Chester Smith said, stepping forward, his presence a silent, imposing force. "You’re talking a lot for a man who is currently hiding in a hole in the ground. If your tech is so superior, why are you still struggling to take the city?" "Struggling?" Silas laughed, a cold, hollow sound that chilled the room. "Don Chester, you misunderstand the nature of the Aether Protocol. I am not 'taking' the city. I am harvesting it.

Wanna Catch Me? Dream On

Wanna Catch Me? Dream On

After a brief moment of silence, she said, "I'm sure you can tell that I'm busy here, Mr. Xeno. If you have something to say, just spit it out. There's no need to beat around the bush." "I already told you, I'm just here to see Aether's new boss. Why else would I be here?" "You wouldn't come knocking if you didn't have something you wanted. Or are you that free?" Maisie asked as she twirled her pen with her fingers. A few seconds of awkwardness passed between them before Adrian smiled. "You're smart. Yes, I do have something I want. Since you're Aether Corporation's boss, you should be aware of its current predicament. It's a troublesome, loss-making—"

The Pack's Emissary

The Pack's Emissary

“But better financial harm, than physical harm, don’t you agree?” There was a silence. Aislen closed her eyes and reached out. That tentative feeling of the alphas of the other pack grew stronger, like following phosphorescent strings through the darkness, or strands of aether. Was it aether that she followed? Or were the minds of people the source of the energy behind aether? Was not thought itself a kind of magic after all? And the brain a complex generator of electrical impulses and chemical signals through neural transmitters? She speculated before pulling herself sharply back to the task at hand and focusing on the minds at the end of the strings.

Betrayed Before the Vows

Betrayed Before the Vows

"What are you doing?" "I'm going to tell the truth," Camelia said. Three Minutes Later The image of Camelia Thorne appeared on screens across the globe. She looked tired, her eyes red from the Marseille mission, but she stood with a terrifying dignity. "People of the world," she began, her voice steady. "Tonight, our grid was attacked by a shadow organization known as Aether-X. They used stolen data to simulate a catastrophe. But they failed. They failed because of a man who is currently serving a twelve-year sentence in Berlin. A man named William Thorne."
