When we drew near, the ash was in the perfect shape of a man, but the surface of the table remained unburned.
"Oh, my god!" I said involuntarily. "When did this happen?"
Kellen tilted his head and his eyes, along with the other vampires, were a magnificent shade of green. It must have been a species thing. "It happened at approximately four o'clock this morning."
"Did anyone see anything?" I asked.
"Supposedly, no," Kellen said, shaking his head.
I sighed. "It just seems a bit farfetched to me that, in a casino this size, no one saw anything."
