I cried out, as I pushed him off me, and got free of his hold, "I loved you, Alaric. I loved you more than anything. I thought you were the only one in this pack who truly cared about me, after Kimberly, but it was all a lie. You both...you both played with my feelings. Why? Why did you do that?" He stood silent and frozen as a statue, while Kimberly rolled her eyes and slipped out of the bed, not bothering to hide her nudity as she approached Alaric and leaned her naked body against his, and winked at me.

Tessa’s POV I felt odd about his response but I decided to push it down. His eyes, those piercing eyes lock onto mine, unreadable as always as Lititi suddenly began to crave his wolf and I couldn’t stop it. I’m done waiting for him to make a move. My body filled with a reckless need, and before he can say a word, I step forward, my voice desperate without hesitation. “I love you Alaric,” I say, and immediately claim his lips with mine, fierce and unapologetic.

Argo could practically feel Alaric’s happiness oozing through the phone. It was starting to piss him off. My vision blurred at that moment and I heard echoes of people laughing around me. "If you think I ever loved you then you are nothing but a fool," I heard Alaric say. "I only used you to satisfy my urges, Elora, but my heard stayed true to Emily. She is the one I love." A bead of tear rolled down my eyes as my heart ached from Alaric's betrayal. "No," I muttered underneath my breath as I turned my head to the side. The laughter around me grew as I slowly blacked out.

“Get up and go back to your room. Your request is absurd.” But Alaric didn’t budge, shaking his head forcefully like a child throwing a tantrum. His eyes were red, wet with tears—whether he was holding them back or letting them flow freely was unclear. This time, he wouldn’t give up. Not until his father gave him what he wanted—Cassandra, back by his side. “I love Cassandra.” Alaric’s voice trembled with desperation. “I know I’m too late. I know I’ve been a fool. But I’ve realized that I can’t live without Cassandra.”

But Alaric keeps moving closer, closing the distance until he stands right in front of me. “I will destroy you. Just like he destroyed me, even though he was my mate,” I whisper. “Then do it. I would rather die by your hands, Princess.” My palm presses against Alaric’s chest, and black shadows seep out between my fingers. I can hear Dorian shouting angrily, telling Alaric to back away. But Alaric does not flinch at all. “I love you, Maeve, with all my heart,” Alaric says softly.

Neo’s POV Alaric's gentle words of reassurance, “Hush, my love, everything will be alright,” are whispered tenderly as he holds her in a tight embrace. Despite her unease, she seeks solace by snuggling even closer to him. Yet, the agony grows stronger, becoming almost unbearable. Just as she inches nearer to Alaric, a deep growl escapes my lips, reverberating throughout the room, causing her eyes to widen in astonishment. To her surprise, I stand before her, my wolf's instincts surging, yearning to claim her as my mate.
