Chapter No. 5

Ada Steele:-

"Evander, aren't you going to eat something?" Alaric asked, "You have barely taken anything or taken a sip from your drink."

I looked at Evander for a second, then removed my gaze instantly when I found him looking at me and felt nervous as I took a sip of my drink and did, or tried to do a good job, until I heard the corner of his lips curve into a smile and finally removed his gaze from me to talk to Alaric.

"Nah, just not in the mood, you know. I am happy for you, my dear friend, but I am getting tired of being lonely." Evander answered Alaric, "You are lucky to find your mate, you know?"

"I know I am," Alaric faked, looking at me and kissing on the knuckles of my hand to showaffection and an act in front of the whole audience while I internally gagged until Alaric turned back his attention to Evander and spoke, "Don't be so heartbroken, my man. I am sure you will find your own mate too soon. Until then, why don't you enjoy the company of these single and beautiful she-wolves over here? I am sure they would be able to keep you entertained."

"Nah, I am not interested in any she wolves over here. None of them interests me." Evander flatly refused as he leaned back against his chair and took a sip of his drink while looking at me and I swear I watched him wink. While my wolf Kitara was enjoying this, I was feeling nervous and out of the game.

I couldn’t focus clearly. I need to stay on my goal and protect my parents, my pack and everything that belongs to me. Reminded of everything from my previous life, I stood from my seat politely and excused myself.

" My apologies but I need to use the ladies room. I am not feeling well all of a sudden." I excused and begin to leave when Alaric stood up and checked on my forehead for temperature and asked.

"Are you feeling alright, my love? If you want to go and rest I will totally understand. Your health comes above everything to me. You know that, right?" he asked, as if genuinely cared about me and heard Evander snort and shake his head.

"No, I will be fine. Don't worry about me and besides you have got guests and alpha's from elites pack to attend to." I tell him and he nods before kissing my forehead and asked the maid to take me to my room.

The maid took me to my room and locked me inside and laughed outside of the door thinking I would cry and pleaded for help and beg to open the door, instead I stood on the other side of the door with the smirk on my face and arms wrapped around my chest as I asked.

" You find this amusing. Don't you, little bitch?" I asked, "Let’s see how long does your amusement last before I rip that heart of your chest and smash it with my sharp heels."
