After I Died, I Became The Alpha's Greatest Regret

After I Died, I Became The Alpha's Greatest Regret

I pushed the door open. Sienna was on the floor with something pressed against her chest. She looked up and her face changed so fast it was almost impressive. Red eyes‚ wet cheeks‚ raw expression‚ all of it gone in less than a second‚ replaced with the flat calm of someone who had absolutely not just been crying on the floor of a storage room. She wiped her face with one hand and set the painting down beside her. Casually. Like it meant nothing. Celeste's painting. The one buried at the very bottom of a sealed box‚ behind medical files and baby blankets and everything else.

Bride of the Mafia cripple

Bride of the Mafia cripple

This silence was not ignorance—it was recognition. --- Later, when the house was hushed except for the footsteps of guards, Leora found Allerick alone in the corridor. He was staring at a painting on the wall—a scene of Venice at dawn, the canals painted in silver strokes. His eyes were glassy, lost. Leora approached quietly. “Is that where you met him?” He didn’t flinch. His jaw tightened, but he didn’t turn away. “You think you know much,” he murmured. “But you know nothing.”

Bound to the silent don

Bound to the silent don

He stepped back, his face returning to its silent, stony mask. "The shower is ready," Lorenzo said, gesturing to the bathroom. "Five minutes, Bianca. Make them believe you’re the smartest person in the room, or you won't live to see I looked at the bloody chip on the floor, then at the man who had just saved me—and threatened me—in the same breath. "Fine," I said, my voice cold. "I'll speak for the Silent Don. But when I'm done, he's going to wish he’d stayed quiet."

To Bleed For You

To Bleed For You

"I specialize in acquiring pieces that capture... forgotten histories. I am prepared to offer your university any price to take this canvas home tonight." Elena stepped smoothly in front of Maya, completely cutting off his line of sight. The air between the two immortals turned freezing cold, the gallery's bright lights suddenly seeming to dim. "The painting is not for sale, Silas," Elena said, her voice dropping into a razor-sharp whisper that vibrated with absolute, ancient authority. "And you are trespassing on our territory." Silas didn't flinch. He merely tilted his head, his smile widening to reveal the faint, terrifying edge of his fangs.

BACK TO BE THE UNWANTED ONE

BACK TO BE THE UNWANTED ONE

She stood perfectly still. Like a statue. Her eyes were fixed somewhere beyond the Emperor. Beyond everyone. --- Inside the laboratory... Luke tilted his head. "What's she looking at?" Alicia immediately recognized it. "...The portrait." Everyone followed her gaze. At the very end of the hallway hung a magnificent oil painting. A beautiful woman with long chesnut hair and emreald eyes eyes smiled gently from within the ornate golden frame. The Late Empress. Charlotte Hyperion. It was the only portrait displayed in the hallway.

His Silent Possession

His Silent Possession

The house was entirely too quiet when Selene crept down to the kitchen. She hadn’t slept at all, because every time she closed her eyes, the image of Cassian down by the pool just kept replaying in her mind. The raw memory of him looking straight up at her window while driving into that woman had kept her awake until dawn. She’d thrown on an old singlet that was entirely too tight, its low scoop neck straining against the soft fullness of her breasts, barely managing to cover them.

The Rogue Deity: Until Death Do Us Part

The Rogue Deity: Until Death Do Us Part

The swallow flapped towards Silas and landed a stinging peck between his eyes before perching on his head. “Better to die trying than never to attempt to save her,” he snapped back. “Silas, you are being irrational!” “He is hurting her, Astra. Every day it becomes worse,” he whimpered. “I know, Silas. I have been watching, though not as much as I would wish. Since my beloved Sileotus was so ruthlessly devoured, I too have been cautious.” Astra dropped her head as she searched for the right words. “Alinta is indeed suffering, but she is in a slightly better state now that Bellinor has been disposed of.”

One Night Stand With The Billionaire Boss

One Night Stand With The Billionaire Boss

Leaving it on the table, I sink my hands into her soft hair, fascinated as it curls around my fingers as if it’s grasping hold. “Astraea’s watching us,” Alice says, looking across at the painting of the virginal goddess who stares down at us with her startling eyes, not unlike those of the girl in front of me. “Do you think she’s disapproving?” “Oh, I don’t think she’s as innocent as she makes out, the saucy minx.” Alice looks back at me, her lips curving up. “That’s why you like the painting, isn’t it? The thought of her losing her innocence. Of her being corrupted by earthly desires.”

The Alpha's Bounty: His Runaway Luna

The Alpha's Bounty: His Runaway Luna

Roman The room is tense with unspoken emotions, so thick you could cut it with a knife. Silvia, our pack healer, moves around Aella with clinical precision, collecting whatever evidence she can. While Aella sits on the edge of the bed with a hollow look in her eyes; a shell of the woman I know and love. She’s physically here, but mentally? Emotionally? I have no idea where she is.

Thoroughly enjoyed the whirlwind that was Roman and Aella! As always, so beautifully written, flowed well, full of twists and turns that’ll keep you on your toes. This author truly never misses, which is one of the many reasons they’re one of my favorites on here. Excited for what’s to come :)

I thought I had a favorite J. Tarr book but I was way wrong! This book is so beautiful and it’s not even finished. The characters emotions are so poetically deep and raw that you feel everything with them. It’s hard to say who I like more because the more you delve into each the harder you fall.

She was never his to own

She was never his to own

"Didn't mean to crowd you." She shook her head. "It's fine." But her heart was racing. Not from attraction. From something else. Something she couldn't name. --- They worked in silence for a while. The afternoon light shifted, turned gold. Dust motes danced in the sunbeams. Marcus set a large canvas on an easel, stepped back to study it. "This one should be the centerpiece," he said. Elena looked at the painting. It was the woman at the edge of the sea, the one she had started years ago, the one she had finished after the date test. The woman's face was turned toward the horizon. Her shoulders were relaxed. Her hands were open.
