Little Prince

Little Prince

Sent a big wave of shivers slithering down your spine like a snake. "And this is my room." You silently gawk at the size of the bedroom, eyes roaming through every corner until they stop at the beautiful chandelier hanging just at the center of the ceiling. An astonishing smile unknowingly plasters your lips. The pretty sequence looks like stars from down there. Zale’s heart flips. "Just wait until you see my toys." You move your eyes to the cute kid-sized castle resting at the corner of the room. Sprawled around its space were another bunch of different types of toys.

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

“I don’t know. Daddy says they protect the city, but I don’t see how. They never do anything.” My finger stopped on a worn out book. The faded writing on the spine said Beasts Of The Wild. I pulled it out and flipped it open in the middle. There was a drawing of a yeti-looking creature called a yowg. The description gave details of height, size and hair colour. Dietary information and habitats were also included. I flicked through more pages and found more creatures, some of which I was familiar with. The names, at least. Unfortunately, the book wasn’t organised into alphabetical order, so I had to search a number of pages before I found what I was looking for: Mouse King.

Fated To The Ruthless Alpha

Fated To The Ruthless Alpha

The woman climbed a short ladder and began pulling down a few books. “These should help,” she said, setting five large, dusty tomes on a nearby table. “Sorry about the condition they’re ancient. Let me know if you need anything.” “Thank you,” Anna said as the woman walked away. Rhea and Anna sat cross-legged on the floor beside the table, surrounded by the stack of heavy books. Their covers were worn, their spines cracked, and the pages yellowed with time. Each had a unique title: 'Tales of the Mystical Creatures', 'Powers', 'Hidden Behind the Voice', and two others with faded letters too difficult to read.

Dragon's Breath (Book One)

Dragon's Breath (Book One)

I change into a pair of leather pants and a bra strapping my sword to my waist. While I'm changing, Flavius wanders around the room, lightly brushing his fingers across the many bookshelves I have carved out of the mountain wall. "When I thought of your room, I never thought of so many books. I thought it would be full of weapons and armor," he says jokingly. "I love to read, honestly," I respond. "I’m surprised, though; you even have books written in other languages," he remarks. "There is a lot of great literature that came from the elves and the fae. As a dragon, I am fluent in all languages. I only have to hear the language once, and I can speak it," I tell him nonchalantly.

Entwined With The Alpha

Entwined With The Alpha

I took my time reading, and another hour went by. On finishing the third book, I realised I hadn’t read them in the right order. It seemed Finding the One was the first book, followed by The Claiming Rites, and then Under the Red Moon. This was a trilogy that needed to be read in the right order. I stared closely at the books and found the numbers on them written on each book from one to three, just like I arranged them. These numbers were written on the drawn-out full moon on the bottle right of the book’s front page, and, being set beside each other in the formal order, the full moon glowed.

Suzanna Ned
I'm finally giving a book 5 stars. the reason is that the story is absolutely amazing! it's so captivating, and I literally fall asleep reading it because I don't want to put it down. there are several grammatical errors, but it does not take away from the book. Harvard to stanford? not good though

So far this is one of the best books I’ve read on this app, the writer is so wonderfully involved welcoming ideas and comments. Which in my opinion shows how much she appreciates her readers. The amount of descriptiveness, information and detail really helps you visualize what your reading. Thanx!!

Brooke. “Here,” Alexander sidles next to me on the table I am sitting at, with a book open in front of me. He shows me the book he’d found just now. It’s a book with a dark, leather cover with the title ‘Creatures of the Lunar woods’ on it, “I read the synopsis, and it’s got a section dedicated to all the packs in the Lunar woods. Granted the book was written decades ago, but most of the packs in the woods are ancient, so almost all of them are still here.”

Supreme Emperor of Swords

Supreme Emperor of Swords

Ding Hao gently opened the Book of Life and Death. Under the light blue title page, there were only six thin pages in the book, and every page of these six pages was blank without any names on it. After thinking for a while, Ding Hao realized that these six pages probably represented the six major kinds of creatures. "As for the reason why there are no names of any living creatures on them... "Do I need to record them over again?"

I was beyond confused now; what did an old book have to do with Clarissa? "You guys have no idea what this is, do you?" We shook our heads, waiting for Alyssa to explain. "It's a grimoire of supernatural creatures. The book was written by the Fae elders and told everything there is to know about every supernatural creature in existence... including how to kill them."

CRAVING THE ALPHA SURGEON

CRAVING THE ALPHA SURGEON

I had to keep studying—this was the only way I could avoid his gaze and his presence. After a few more pages, my eyes drifted to the large bookshelf along the living room wall. It was filled with thick volumes, most in Latin or old English. Slowly, I stood and approached it. My fingers brushed over a spine, trying to read the titles. Anatomi Licanthropica, Genealogy of Packs, Mutatio Lupus. I pulled one out, nearly choking when I saw its contents—pages full of strange illustrations: skeletal figures half-transformed into wolves, notes on dual circulatory systems, and countless terms unfamiliar to me.

The 'All Creatures Great and Small' series is a heartwarming collection penned by James Herriot, capturing his life as a rural veterinarian in Yorkshire. There are five main books in the series, each brimming with humor, warmth, and unforgettable animal tales. The first, 'All Creatures Great and Small,' introduces his chaotic yet charming world, followed by 'All Things Bright and Beautiful,' 'All Things Wise and Wonderful,' 'The Lord God Made Them All,' and 'Every Living Thing.'

Herriot’s writing feels like a cozy fireside chat, blending veterinary adventures with human stories. The series expands beyond these five with memoirs and illustrated editions, but the core remains these timeless classics. They’ve spawned adaptations, but the books are where the magic truly lives—each page dripping with pastoral nostalgia and wit.
